Have a spring in my step today was tidying out the garage at 8:30. Listed a stack of stuff on FB and eBay and sold a couple bits already. Seems people definitely buying again after pay day.

The direct debits are flying out as normal and I'm on a real mission to keep hubby out the shops! The teenagers are happy and only need some plastic filing wallets, so all is going to the budget plan.

The great declutter has stalled today, because of cleaning! Great day yesterday with £52 of things sold so the Xmas fund is getting ever closer to the £1000 target. Balance is £856.84, so hopefully some of the bits will sell on ebay so i can hit that target by end of August.

I spoke to my boss yesterday and i've got a token pay rise, which was a complete surprise in the current climate. It's only £150 a year, but it's better than nothing and an extra £10 a month in my pocket. I'm just thankful to see have a job.My pay rise being backdated to April so I should get £40 extra in my pay this month.Going to send it to the credit card.

I've also called EE this morning and reduced the kid's phone contracts down to SIM only for £6 a month, so that'll save £10.88 each a month which is a very nice £21.77 extra. Will use it as an extra overpayment on the credit card and send £20 from the savings from phones as well each month. It's currently £655 after this month's direct debit.

Thanks beanie, yep definitely on the right track. Have lost focus so many times but know the diary is the key. Just need to stop myself falling off the wagon and get this debt gone once and for all.

I love family Sundays a lazy day but still trying to keep our good money habits. No more Sunday lunches out and unnecessary shopping trips.
    Today :
    - been out for countryside walk with dog
    -grass cut/ quick garden tidy
-roast pork slow cooking in oven ready for 6
    - a rare Non spend day
-£15 FBsale taking Xmas pot to £871.74
-£10 win on positive lottery will ping to CC when received
-early night for teenagers and still slogging away online learning

It's a lovely day finally, a little cloud it plenty of blue sky. Hace fine my daily check on bank accounts and updated my spreadsheet as to which payments have gone today. Hubby and I had good chat over brekkie and both agree we're fed up with debt. It's a good sign as normal he leaves cash/budgets down to me. Both agreed no takeaways this month which is a start. Feeling positive so embracing that and about to tackle huge basket of ironing. The lockdown excitement !

Another day and another load of eBay listings have ended. All quickly paid for so I've got them wrapped, postage prepaid and ready for hubby to drop to post office in the morning. It's the first time I've used the click and port service and it's £2.95 for small parcel instead of £3.10! With 3 sent that's an extra 45p in the pot! £38.10 profit after all fees transferred over to make my total £909.94. On mad push now to hit that 1k before the end of the month.

Nothing else going on today, just more cleaning and sorting. Was supposed to be a nsd but needed break and milk £4.94 in the coop.

Busy day yesterday after an early start. I fell into bed at 8pm and forgotten to post. Bit of a spendy day, but all in budget. Have woken up this morning and feel like slept for months. Finally have a blue sky, so going to get some jobs done in the garden.

Yesterday had another two sales which after fees was £27 into the Xmas pot and a survey payout of £5.89. All moved across to take the total 942.83.

Today will be a non spend and i'm using freezer/cupboard supplies. Hubby and I had a good chat yesterday and jobs and money. I've been thinking of trying to get a couple more hours a week but need to speak to HR. With government and local budgets the way they are I don't hold out much hope. Hubby applied for a new job yesterday, which would be complete change. His cv and skill set look like perfect fit, but you never know.

No harm in speaking to HR.
    You are doing amazingly well.
Nearly at your Christmas target & it is only July.
    EF in place.
    Credit card coming down nicely.
    One loan nearly gone.
Don’t worry about the car loan.
    Most people have them.
    Are you getting PIP?

Thanks Beanielou, I do received PIP after an accident but expecting that to stop really soon. My health and mobility has improved so much, but will never get beyond 80% of where i was.

I have spent  lot of time thinking about our bad habits and now with covid allowing more planning and thinking time I am more focussed than I have been over the last 10+ years of debt busting. I think how many times we've nearly or have got it to being debt free and something happens.  The EF has given us a real safety net and saves a lot of worry. Currently sat at £1200, but hoping to add to it once CC debt gone.

I've spent the morning listing some odd bits of china than was left to me from a distance family member. It's very pretty, but i've no need for it and it's stored away in a box. I'm a bit of a hoarder in nature, so i'm finding this decluttering very empowering. It's like a cleanse and my mental health is a lot better being busy. hubby is over the moon and is loving taking the parcels to the post office for me so it's a win win.
