If this report goes nowhere. Then I will try them too. I just think, once the police speak to her. They'll immediately know something isn't right and I think if she can talk without him there, then maybe she will tell all. When he's around, she's almost silent and says very little but without him. She talks.0

Oh well done Ghost Chilli!!0

Well done for reporting it. I was going to sugest contacting SOcial Services as they generally have a team for vulnerable adults, but is she doesn't have any obvious learning disability or similar then the police and the modern slavery helpline are the best options.
If you do speak to her line manager then do be clear that you are concerned about retaliation against her and yourself if he learns it has been raised. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
hi Ghost_Chilli - what happened, is your friend ok?0

I was wondering that too.0

Also, I would try phoning Social Services and reporting this as a safeguarding issue. It does seem there is at least financial exploitation going on here.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

I do wish people wouldn't post and run like this. I was actually hoping to hear the outcome of this & there's been radio silence ever since.0

I hope that the OP's reporting of this issue has not been discovered by the reported party. Things like that can get really nasty.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Precisely. But we won't find out unless op returns.0

Just wanted to add that most payroll systems have an option to run a report on bank account details which then flags if someone's salary is going into an account other than theirs. Since the modern slavery act in particular, companies have used it to identify if there's anything suspicious. If you did tell your LM as advised by police, may be worth suggesting that your HRBP runs a check on it, for her welfare if nothing else.
Well done you for taking a concerned interest. If the police don't do anything, I would call the modern slavery helpline as well. Even if it's not slavery in the legal definition of the word, any action they take may identify other issues.' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0
