  • Just make sure OH still knows he's number one

Yes, I will, I think he might need a bit of 'stroking' (figuratively speaking!), he just made me feel guilty. He has a very similar personality/opinions to Rodney Marsh (for those who are watching I'm a Celeb) and sometimes doesn't 'do' sympathy etc.

I always find that stroking (literally speaking) works well in these circumstances... :p

  • Keren you did the right thing hun. Past history doesn't count if you have a friend who needs your help. I would've done exactly the same.

    Hi everyone.

Keren, I think you did the right thing this morning. I know would help (and have done) anyone in need, whether he was an ex, a neighbour or a complete stranger. Stop feeling guilty and start feeling good about what a lovely person you are.:T

Dumb Blonde, same goes for you. It's natural to be concerned about your friend and I hope you hear from her soon.:T

I'm having a rubbish morning so far. Just feel really low for no particular reason. I'd happily stay in the house all day but I have to take BFs ungrateful sister and her son to his swimming lessons (she's heavily pregnant and has no transport). Normally I don't mind but she really wound me up yesterday. She'd asked me to return a bra to Mothercare as it was too tight. I did but they told me that, as it was underwear and they don't normally accept returns on underwear, I could only have vouchers. I said fine although I'm sure other places take bras back. So yesterday I gave her the vouchers and explained. Her response was shrieked at me "They're no good to me! When am I ever at Mothercare?" Was already feeling crappy so I couldn't even be bothered answering back. Wasn't nice though.

Hey you did the best you could with the Mothercare issue I would try not to let her get to you know.

Easier said then do I know, does your BF know how you feel would it be worth having a chat about it?

Thanks Slayer. He does know how I feel and knows that she can be really hard work sometimes. I just don't like saying too much to him about it as it's caused arguments in the past. There's no point saying anything to her either as she's always right.

I just have to get on with it I guess. I know she's having a hard time too and I'd like to support her but she makes it so hard to be around her sometimes.

I'd have done the same Keren, and I don't even like my ex. Actually my ex gets on quite well with dh, so I probably would have sent dh if he'd been home.

I've done the ironing, and having spent so much time cleaning and sorting the junk room this week, I'm not inclined to do anything else in the way of housework today.
