    One is the past tense of the verb "to bring". The other is the past tense of the word "to buy". You don't get confused with a "bring and buy sale", right? Well, think about the one you went to last week as a "brought and bought sale"...

    But the link I posted was a prime example of where it goes wrong horribly, poor granny is left with no means to pay and the brother just say it as a money making scheme

    The sooner they get rid of RTB, the better, it's reducing the housing stock and the waiting list is long

    RTB is not to build your inheritance or to make a quick buck, but to house the needy, sadly past governments have continued the RTB to get votes and not necessarily do what's best for the country

    The main problem with RTB isn't the RTB - it's that the housing stock sold off hasn't been replaced.

    So you would agree with people building their inheritance and making a profit at the states detriment?

    Housing stock aside which again is government issue and not giving enough funds to councils etc

    That's a very slanted way of phrasing it.

    And don't forget that not all RtB is from local government ownership.

    It doesn't reduce the housing stock as the houses are still there, they just change ownership.

    RTB isn't to "house the needy", its to increase home ownership.

    If continuing the RTB does affect how people vote doesn't that suggest the government are giving the country what they want?

    Recent Radio 4 interview had Ken Clarke? stating that when it was introduced the councils would keep 75% of the income. He was clearly unhappy that had been changed.
