Thanks Rachel, after much deliberating and researching I have decided that unfortunately at this point in time (my child is 5 years old). That home-based education is the correct course of action for us at this time.
As during the past weeks my daughter has been taunted, bullied and injured three times.
As a concerned parent who has failed to receive any satisfaction to the concerns I've raised with the school staff, this seems like my only option.
Wish me luck0 -
HEAS is not one I would turn to tbh.

Thanks Hapless0 -
two days in and I'm blooming knackered
lol, but it's a pleasure to see my daughter thriving under her new environment, she is racing through the work and really appreciating the one to one attention.
I asked her today if she wanted to have a break from it and she said "no mummy I want to do some more learning"....bless
so far so good0 -
GLad you decided to do it, there seems to be a mass exodus from state schools at the moment, i wonder what they would do, if they had no kids left to teach?0

good question, can't see it happening though, just happy to be in the content minority though
So far so good.

sara - there are some wonderful sites that I used for my 2 sons over the years that really made learning interesting for them. Also, if you do use online resources sometimes it helps when you're not feeling so well yourself to keep her working.
The boys used to love this school website and we did a few of their projects. She may be a little young to see some. http://home.freeuk.com/elloughton13/index.htm
Lots of school websites have projects that you can print out that are great to help add interest to their studies.
My LEA officer has just retired after 10 years of coming to us and she always said "if we are having a bad day then shut the books, get your shoes on and go and enjoy a day out. There's plenty more days for learning." I was shocked that she was so understanding and we often took that advice. But then I'm sure you know the ropes with your mum teaching you.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £68.12/ £250

Oh I completely forgot enchanted learning, too. I just spotted it advertised on the school website. We used 'enchanted' print outs on many projects. The LEA loved the work from both these sites when turned into projects. The memories are flooding back. Happy days! DS1 is now working and DS2 14 and still preparing for his GCSE's. Hope it all works out for u.

BTW I never paid the subscription on enchanted and always copy and pasted the pages I wanted into wordpad and stretched. Was no prob and free!AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £68.12/ £250
