Just Mum I'll post about the box of tricks if I survive town tomorrow and my Paddington hard stare is enough to make the not distancing back off.it's pretty ordinary things . Originally there were meds Superdoc calls the as and when needed. He put those meds on repeat a couple of years ago along with the other repeats so she never runs short. now she has those in the box as back up if the pharmacy runs short. As you have PsA WCS do you ever have problems with your teeth? In the last couple of years dds have started to crumble one by one. There isn't a decent dentist in this area now. Our dentist retired. I treid one who did more harm than good andthe new ones have very poor reviews. Middle dd paid a small fortune for treatment and ended up with problems. Superdoc reckons it's meds related but I've never seen that problem mentioned before.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.4 -
Good morning polly, dont really understand why did isn't taking her mtx if flaring unless she has an infection? She will flare without it?? Sorry, must have missed something.?
Yes teeth/jaw issues are part of the gift - we have a dentist here who specialises in working with folks with disabilities or other issues that make folks struggle with going - might be worth asking if you have someone?? Your rheumy nurse will know, or cpn if dd has one??? Its a constant struggle isn't it???
Family are all well, and yes youngest still at the fishing 😊
Mar sorry to hear the rv has been so poorly.
Well, freezing cold here and a storm coming in so off out with the doggos. Mar did you see the first snows are in the cairngorms? 😊😊😊😊5 -
Yes, the Scots weather forum get all in a flutter when the first snow hits the summits
This is my time of year, I love summer yes but not fond of the light nights, I prefer being a wee hamster cosied in at the fire, love the long dark nights. How's the future of the fishing looking now with the B word looming?

Me too Mar, love the dark nights. Fishing is looking ok for us, creel fishing, but not so good for the trawlers although a lot of them voted for it. Much more red tape though!6

Don't usually post, and have missed reading a few weeks, but I'm so pleased to see WCS posting again. A few years ago you pointed me in the right direction symptom-wise to get a rheumatologist referral and eventual diagnosis. Thank you! I've been on Trump's favourite Hydroxy. for a year now, some relief, but mainly feel better to have recognition of all the odd symptoms, and not feel as if I'm going bonkers.I
DH and I have been isolating since March, he is 82 and has various problems, (should I say 'challenges ' to be PC). I'm getting worried that I enjoy the quiet life too much, having got the supply system whittled down to various deliveries plus weekly round trip to a few places like chemist for meds, local shops, dentist 😕, and a bit of a stash of knitting yarn.
I walk doggy a few times daily, but in weather like today, she is reluctant to stir even when wearing her raincoat! We are developing a situation though, as DH is depleting my stock of rhubarb and custard sweets, and I may have to make an expedition to replenish.5 -
Your life sounds a bit like ours up here SL,although I rarelu have to go out anywhere. We adapt and do what we have to do, and we survive eh? Although any stash of sweeties in this house has a snowball in hell's chance of lasting a week.

I've tried hiding them in all sorts of unlikely containers, pill bottle, mustard tin, but he seems to sniff them out....5

Reminds me of when I used to hide the Mars Bars in the freezer to stop myself binging on them. That was when I found a Mars Bar melts very nicely if dipped in hot tea...4

Hi! Found the thread! Thank you Pollyanna.I’m not doing well at all. I seem to have been hit by the menopause right in the middle of this major flare. Insomnia and night sweats just to add to the misery 🙁
I’m getting ready to face one of my biggest fears ever, having anything anywhere near my nose is an issue so this Covid swab is going to be problematic for me. I can’t avoid it any longer – I have my endoscopy booked for Tuesday. Good job I can only overthink one thing at a time 😒
Everything with this UTI came to a head a few days ago. I managed to get a urine test and the results in about 20 mins at a Treatment centre but it cost me £70 in a taxi!! It was borderline IV antibiotics which would’ve involved going to another hospital. I opted to come home with a box of horse tablets with the warning that if I didn’t feel better in 24 hours, it was straight to A&E. happily, did start feeling better in 24 hours but some other symptoms indicate that my pancreas and bile duct aren’t happy. It’s so frustrating that my health is been compromised by the very service which is supposed to be looking after it. I feel I’m suffering unnecessarily.I will point out how useful a good pharmacist is at times like these. Also 111 – and even the NHS webpages. The subject of pharmacists, in our conversation I mentioned that I’d run out of paracetamol again and was obviously not keen on going into pound land and places like that to buy multiple packets. My pharmacist said that under certain circumstances like this she was able to authorise sales of up to 100. That might be handy for others.3
