NowTV box or stick?

I have a nowTV box.

I always wanted a stick! and now they do one, I'm thinking of getting one for my parents.

What are the disadvantages of the stick? Am I missing something?

Do they plug into a HDMI Port ?

Do I get anything different with the yellow button version?

I wouldn't bother with either. Get a Roku stick instead so you can access NowTV, Amazon, Netflix, Google Movies etc all on the same device.

Stick Wi-Fi only, box both Ethernet and Wi-Fi. Both plug into a HDMI socket except the early white box which had NTSC composite video output as well.

I know, so why not get the full functionality of the Roku device.

The stick plugs into the an HDMI port and gets power via a supplied lead that plugs into a USB port. This cuts down on the number of power cables.

I've got both a stick and a box and find the box responds faster but otherwise they work the same way.

    Just an example

Amazon have the New Roku Express £30

Argos have the stick for £25

As you can see they are both more than £15, the prices for Roku sticks were expensive on Amazon.

Andy can you wait for Black Friday, maybe 1 would be discounted then.

Yeah that’s an excellent idea. Just need to remember.

Was going to Order one on the spur of the moment.

I recall I purchased my box when it was on sale, sold the vouchers. It hardly cost me anything

Yes the stick is just like the fire stick, it can be discreetly hidden.
