- Pay £250k OR
- Use an Onward Negotiator who gets it down to £240k. You have saved £10k. Onward Negotiator charges you (Guess) 10% = £1k
What a cunning business idea.
I should get that on Dragon's Den asap.
Just a couple of details.....0 -

My god this is genius. Where do I sign up?0 -
Looking back at your previous post, you seem to say that you are a good negotiator:

Is it that you're seeing "Onward Negotiation" as a business opportunity for yourself?
Nope. I have run several businesses and I certainly have some practice at negotiation but there are many people without that experience. The firm of Estate Agents I linked to in my original post obviously see a business opportunity in widening the usage their experience/ability to help those with less ability - albeit at a commission.(My username is not related to my real name)0 -

This is a service I offer to my clients if they want to take me up on it. I have a lot more experience than a lot of people in property and have good working relationships with a lot of EA around the area. I personally feel that I can put my clients offer across in a good light and the Estate Agents generally know that if im involved then there is a good chance of it going through as I am constantly available to answer clients questions and stop them from worrying about things they dont need to worry about (poor communication between parties collapses far too many transactions)
I got a £315k property for £287k recently. Clients didnt even think of going that low but I helped them with the comparables and convinced them it was overpriced.
So i agree that this is a service that a lot of people can benefit from.
Charging for it though?? Craziness! Its just something to distinguish from all the competition, not an extra service to charge for0 -

It's an estate agent looking for gullible people. Offering £240,000 takes precisely the same amount of ability as £250,000. Personally, I'd never sell with an agent that offered this service. It speaks volumes about what they think about their clients."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -

It's like the people getting stung (one on here recently) paying unnecessarily for 'property finders' and the like.
You've thrown the idea of this service out there, we've all said don't bother - or at least certainly nobody should pay for it - but it still seems like you're trying to defend, praise or maybe even plug it!2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0
