I've uploaded video to YouTube https://youtu.be/A5fjEdO4ZRA
im in silver car he's in black one. he's chasing the van that flys past first.

Why have you filmed the video being played back... I hope you have got a proper copy of the video to send to the Insurance company.

It will be much clearer if you had the original file and obviously you will have the full frame of the video showing the timestamp in the top right.

If I had recorded an incident on my CCTV and someone needed it I would insist on them having a proper copy of it.

i don't get how drive down a road minding my own business and someone in a van speeds up behind me then overtakes me very closely then the car causing him miss judges the distance between me and him goes on the other side of the road and near misses a van and in doing that clips the front end of my car. i put this video on fb and asked for witnesses and the man in the van on the opposite side contacted me. he said the car was at fault too he shouldn't of tried overtaking on that road and especially when he could see he was driving up. it's mad to think you cant even drive down the road without worrying about getting hit. i get what everyone saying but it happened so fast and i didn't even know there was a car behind the van.

It's because this is the MSE Motoring forum. The forum of pork pie hats, and, "You didn't want to do it like that you wanted to do it like this." The forum where everyone is a better driver who does everything perfectly and knows everything about road traffic law and insurance liability due to their purchase of leather driving gloves and those monochromatic sunglasses you get from the back of the Mail on Sunday Magazine.

The forum where the "little woman" sits quietly in the passenger seat with a thermos, a pair of compasses, and a paper copy of the A to Z, with laybys marked in red. The forum where they put their foot down on seeing a yellow beacon and tail gate an Almera driver safely doing the speed limit, then go online to complain about it.

    That's why.

Ask them if you can get a copy of the original. I would also forward it to the police. I don't know what those psychos thought they were doing but they are lucky they didn't kill someone. It wouldn't do them any harm to lose their licenses for a bit.

Yet somehow Mr perfect fails to even bother to read the sentence of the first 2 hits, surprise surprise.

Stick around on this forum for a while longer and you will soon see that this is something that AdrianC does on a regular basis.
They are so interested in point scoring that they jump in with irrelevant or incorrect replies and in many cases, instead of making themselves look big, they actually achieve the total opposite.

Then you need to escalate it. This is a good candidate for dangerous driving which is a serious offence.
  • You do realise this is a free, public forum that anyone can join and contribute to? Why would you expect all the advice to be from qualified, informed people? If people want proper, qualified, informed advice they can go elsewhere and pay for it. Otherwise they have to sift through the advice and opinions given and try and determine what's useful and what's not.

If you want a forum where all the advice comes from informed and qualified sources, I suggest you see how many solicitors, insurance experts, law enforcement officers and mechanics are prepared to populate it all day, every day, and what they'd charge for doing so.

    True mr duck
ive only come here to see if anyone has been in similar situation and what the outcome was.
