  • my tin from poundland is already feeling a bit heavy and we are still in 2007 so high hopes for £100 or even more. I like the idea of saving what we can from the food budget but already do this on the shopping challange. Brought my monthly food bill from £200 to £160 but feel I can reduce this even more. Bought a portable wide screen tv for bedroom with savings. Got used to spending between £156 - £160 now but still draw out the £200 we allow and savings will go for new household items when required. I have so many budgets now I know what is in my savings account is ALL MINE.;)

IRISH does your shopping budget include trips to local shop for bread milk etc

I have started a new thread in this Debt-free wannabe forum, link is in my signature :)

Little Pig and Penny the Penguin are drying out nicely above the heater and should be ready for painting tomorrow.

I've updated my signature, made another sealed pot for my house-buying challenge (it's a brick made from off-cuts of wood) and I've just about finished altering my 2008 budget to make allowances for the extra day during a leap year.

Mumzi, we seem to have most of the challengers organised for the sealed pot challenge. You could just copy the list of names and numbers from post #662 and edit it into your original post and leave it at that. Don't think there'll be many changes to make from now on as we won't be counting amounts :)

Fun, fun, fun... hope Mr Lewis isn't too upset about a herd of paper mache animals creating a virtual Noah's Ark of moneysaving in his forums LOL Can't wait to see some more of the piccies! :T
