Thanks a lot TF, all the best to you all for the same!

Nowt today, but I agree with Puzzled and LMM that this sort of saving is totally addictive and I can never get upstairs fast enough to get my cash in the pot ......notes too aren't to be sneezed at.

Roll on the next find or left over coins - wherever they come from!;)

Welcome pen_and_paper! Good to see you joining in with us and of course it's fine to do so. Molly5 will be along tomorrow to give you your number.

It'll certainly get you addicted to getting as much money saved as possible, but what a good thing that is. The container doesn't need to be lavish and mine is a drinking chocolate container which cost nothing! Have a look around and see what you can use then all the best with saving as much as possible! Good luck.

Darned good idea P & P sounds much needed money too. A teacher through and through obviously so you'll soon be adding to that box and not subtracting until the best by date! :D Good luck again and keep looking down when walking, just be careful of the lamp posts .....and people!:j

Ohh that is rather cool, you could even do it as an art project/MSE lesson for your pupils...not so sure that is in the curricum though!

I purchased a glass buscuit jar from Tesco for £1. It allows me to see my pennies mounting up! I glued on the top to avoid temptation as the only way to get at it is to smash it, so no sneaky pickings!!

  • I have just been to Tesco and found a glass biscuit jar for a pound so I bought that as I thought it would be sturdier. Guess what I did when I got home- blimmin dropped it down the stairs! Laminate floor and flass don't go:) Well actually the main damage is to the lid. Grr. Back to a food box!
