    Hi

I am going to start my pot today. I seem to have started loads of things in this last week! I genuinely mean it when I say you are all a fantastic inspiration!! I hope I can keep it up, any tips for those days when it all seems a little bit tough?

    Thank you again Money Savers

    Thanks a lot Molly.

Hi elj2287 and welcome. I'd go along with oopalah, it works well for me too. Just keep looking ahead to the next time you're lucky with a find or small win on the lottery or such like. Mostly though, if you have ANY pieces of change, no matter how small, just put them in your pot, they'll soon mount up. If you have a husband/OH/partner who has heavy pockets.......... I'll leave that up to your imagination, but I relieve mine of his! :p

    Good luck saving.

Ive got another shiney £2 to go into my pot and a few pennies.

I was thinking last night how sensible this is, a lot of the things that im doing on here im sure i will not think about when im Debt free (things like PPI reclaims and hard hard budgeting with very little "me" money)

But i know that this is one think that i can keep up for the rest of my life, its so easy to pop your change into a pot and acts as savings which is great because i find managing a savings account really hard (I always end up having to use my savings to buy stuff liek glasses)

Thanks for the fab challenge guys

Well I have 4 £2 coins to go in my seperate piggy bank - There is now over £100 there which pays for our yearly trip to Newmarket Races.

    Hi everyone

I have added £1 in silver to my pot - I havent had so much change lately as I am using my debit card to control my spending a bit more!

It all helps - i will be excited on 1/12 to open my tin and see what I have - I could do with about £100 but I think thats doubtfull - who knows!!

mdj that was an amazing amount - well done
and well done Sue on your lottery win.:T
