  • I'm off to the shops today - so hoping to get some change. I've got a mystery shop to do so should get a couple of golden coins!

It's raining here again today - very depressing. Hope the sun is shining on you guys.

A bit of change towards my pot last night, silvers only. But also a nice shiny £2 coin for my other £2 piggy... the proceeds of both will probably be for my Xmas in Portugal to see mum.

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Afternoon everyone,
Decided to count my "Road Change" jar, which is for another challenge, so far since the 1st of April I have found £30.87, and I will be paying the total I find off a debt on the 31st March 2009. So I hope that people will keep dropping their money on the floor for me to find. Stunty told me to try Woolton in Liverpool, but I think he has been there because I've not found any change there yet lol. by the way has anyone heard from Stunty?

On a positive note, since I had my LBM my debt free date was April 2013, now with 2 balance for life transfers & a couple of 0% deals I've managed to get my DFD down to December 2011, shaving off 26 months. Hopefuly some more deals will come up & I can shave some more off. Just wanted to say thanks for the support and help

  • Hello I ve not been on this thread ages, bt I do still put money in my various pots ( one sealed, one for pound coins, one for coppers). its been a bit difficult since i decided to do everything in cash and so every penny in my purse counts! I only put in once a week but its normally about 3 quid - what ever is in my purse on Saturday.

    hope everyone is doing well

Hi Sue and welcome to the thread.

Molly will soon spot your post and give you a number and she, like us all, will be really pleased to have you with us. The original idea was to save until December, ready for Christmas, but others have different intentions eg a holiday or paying off a bill etc. So go with what suits you best.....after all it's your cash and the main thing is that you SAVE it!! This thread has done me a power of good, my hubby too who's even chipping in each week!!!

All the best Sue, save well.
