Naughty, naughty, very naughty... almost :rotfl:

I kept having my doubts about hitting my £100 target for 1st December but don't want to break open 'Phil the Pig' so I had to think much more deviously than that! Umm.... so I googled coin weights! :o And guess what? There's a chart on Wikipedia that gives all the dimensions of all the coins! :rotfl: I already knew Phil's weight before I started and I know that the coins range from 1p to 20p, probably around the same amounts of each. So, I estimated there could be around 881 coins in the pot with an average weight of 5g each and an average value of 8p each... my wide and wild guesstimation is that Phil could contain between £60 and £70! :j I will be so, so pleased if I get to 1st December and discover that I made it to £100, as I have never, ever made it that far before - I always cave in and bank/spend/give away as a pressie before then.

Thanks Mumzy, for starting the sealed pot challenge! :T Reading back through (some of) the posts, there has been so much happened since 2007! And I still haven't caught up with them all. Stunty & Sgt Save could be married by now, for all I know. (Not to each other!! :rotfl: )

I read somewhere they hold £600 in £2 coins!
I've never even SEEN £600 in change, let alone a terramundi filled with £2's :rotfl:

Good luck, hope you get your birthday wish. I think if you ask nicely 3 times and promise to do something good in return, the birthday fairy grants your wish. I'm scared to wish for change in case I end up moving house or turn daft or something! :rotfl:

Hiya everyone, sorry haven't posted for a while.
I've added about £20 in the past few weeks from change, and 'finds'. The biscuit jar is getting very heavy now.:D
The children are getting excited about counting it :j
