Im doing good..still meaning to count my pot as i know my sig is wrong.

How do you know your total if it's supposed to be a sealed pot that we don't open until 1st December? Are you cheating again? In that case, I'm going to ask the bank how much£10 of mixed change weighs and then try to guess how much is in Phil! :rotfl: I need a week off work to check all the posts on this thread to find out who has cheated so far! :D

    Hi all,

first time post in here. I have a 4.5ltr bottle of whisky that i put all of my change into and unfortunately the occasional drunken fivers / tenners...Counted the lot on sunday and 220 in it! what a result.

going to keep it closed until i fill it, probably about a fifth or a quarter full so could be £1000 savings there in time!!

    good luck to all!

Good luck checking the posts, Nyk, you'll need more than a week off:rotfl:
I was going to put my change in the pot today, but then realised it's the only money I've got till Thursday, so I've kept it just in case. Promise it will go in on Thursday if I haven't spent it.

EXCELLENT NEWS! :T Now we just need you off the ciggies and that's you on par for 'goodbye debts, hello fun'! :D I noticed your frugal day trip to the park to see the horses - that's the kind of day trips I like best! Pack a picnic, 10 minutes walk and it sounds like you're in a different world down there! Brilliant, especially if there's space for the kids to run about :)

Oopalah - maybe I'll upgrade the week off to a month off! There are sooooooo many posts to catch up with!

    Hi mumzy,

Why is it that most of us ponder over this one. I haven't that much, I don't think  but I keep asking myself if it would be better 'saved' rather than kept in the house. At present I'm still on the fence but will be glad when I've decided which side to come down on. Decisions decisions and I'm lousy at them. :o

I really want to put it in my isa...but i know then i would proberly withdraw it. I have £31 in savings (i know nit much but its the first savings ive ever had) plus my sealed pot would make it £60 somwthing.. But i dont even know what im saving for.
