Hi all, Not been on here for a week or so, what with all the Christmas shenanigans. Hope you all had a great time. I shall be here a lot now, trying to avoid the sales!

    Sealed Pot challenge #59
    SPC5 total £473.60
  • Me thinks that this is a fabby idea. I already save in a large whisky bottle and if I seal it the kids will think that I have gone even more loopy - they can see it on the kitchen worktop and we sometimes dip into it for school change etc... ( although I am trying to get more organized by cashing change weekly and keeping it in a small jar!!)

I am not going to tell them but when the jar is quite full (like now) I am going to count it and get it changed into £1 coins and then chuck them into a sealed jar and hopefully forget the amounts and have a nice surprise!!

I am becoming addicted to saving!
Grocery spends £193.44/ £70 per week or £303 per month
  • The papermache army can always do with more recruits...... if you're feeling adventurous on the sealed pot front...

Tip of the day: rattle your papier mache animal at the next relative who passes and they almost always feel obliged to drop in a penny or ten. One is never too old to harass one's offspring with a large pink pig! :)

  • Oooooo, nice thought! I found 65p in change in work today. (I work outdoors so find plenty of pennies etc!)

I've looked down the list and I haven't joined this challenge so can you add me. My dd is buying me a terramundi pot so I can save £1 and £2 coins and I already have a big babycham bottle for loose change. I also have a box at work which I add change too although it's not sealed......yet.

This will help with the Christmas for free in 2008 challenge which I've also joined.

    Thanks
