Hello all you sealed pot fans, hi Mumzi, hope you are feeling much better! Judging by that breezy 'morning' yell, it looks like you are well on the way to recovery :)

Phil the Pig is rattling along and I'm making sure that anyone with a spare penny puts it in the pig LOL

Stunty, I PM'd you the recipe for cow ears (eugh, that doesn't look good! LOL) and I will be back to update on any other madcap papier mache projects. I have NOT bought the six foot balloon but am now wondering if anyone else has
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

i know its late but i want to join!!!

i am going to save all change I can in a quality street tin, boyf bashed a coin slot in it and it is has been taped up securely!

it weighs 325g empty and I want it to weigh 1325g by 1st August. I know most people are keeping them sealed until 1st Dec for Christmas but our wedding is on 6th Sept so I'm going to save like a rabid squirrel till then!

OH wants to remortgage to pay for the balance of it (getting help from folks but will still need about £2000) but I am not at all happy doing that at the moment when we could just save up if we put our minds to it.

I will prove him wrong like the rabid squirrel saver I am!! I hope that my kilo of coins will be about £400. will aim to save the silver!

Hi everyone. Just wanted to show you my new pet piggy (bank). Unfortunately I'm not artistic enough to be able to make one but saw this in a shop and thought he was lovely!!! You can get them with different designs as well. Mine has a crown but they are also available wearing tiaras! Anyway I've already got a sealed tin for this challenge so my new friend will have to wait until the next challenge or until I find something else to save up for....

I got him from Collectables (£9.99 reduced from £14.99 - so a bargain!). They have quite a range. There are some larger ones as well for £14.99.

For competitions check out the competitions forum on here. There are loads of comps listed everyday and if you want to post any comps on there you can as well. Just found out yesterday that I have won a centerparcs break. It is worth entering some competitions if you have time. I've been entering comps for a couple of years now and have won loads :D.

  • Given that my finances are a bit dire after Xmas :( (Not really from huge excess either - more that my weekly income has been skewed by the holiday period) I'm not going to seal my 'sealed pot' until after 11/01 as I may need any change until then.

From then on, however, I will be emptying my pockets on a daily basis! :D
