I didn't pass the AQA test, never mind!
But on a more personal non-dfw note, I got booked in for my c-section, if the baby doesn't come before, they will be born on 20th december, it's nice to know we will all be home in time for Xmas, a family of 4, bless
So now I've got 3 weeks to:
~ get all my housework done (I want the house cleaned from top to bottom) ~ to finish packing my hospital bag,
~ to write a Xmas food shopping list for hubby to do while I'm in hospital
~ Set up standing orders for the bills that I pay via bank transfer (cc's od's)
~ Make sure there will be enough money in account for all bills, so that I don't have to worry and check the balance every day
~ Wrap all the presents (I've been a really good girl this year and I've bought all my presents already and not using any credit)
~ Pack a suitcase for my son as he will be staying with my mum and sister for a few days while I'm in hospital
I think thats it really.
On my dfw journey, I haven't received up to date statements so I can't really adjust the total, I've only made minimum payments this month so not really expecting the balance to go down too much. Will update as soon as statements arrive.

I just checked my Quidco account and there is £12.85 scheduled to be paid to me at the end of the month
Plus I should be receiving a cheque within the next few days for a book sold on Ebay, I should pocket about £10.
Both these amounts will be going straight on the cc's.
Well thats made me happy xx:j Bankrupt 6th October 2009 :j:beer: To a Debt-free Future :beer:0 -
I've been really naughty this week by friviously spending money that could otherwise be used against our debts. Hubby has been doing some extra jobs and b'cos the money is not budgeted for, I've been buying a few more pressies for Xmas when I strictly told myself that I had bought enough.
But as the saying goes, you live and learn, and I do feel really guilty for spending so I'm definitely getting the hang of this dfw lark, a few months ago I wouldn't have batted an eyelid about wasting money.
On a more dfw note, we found out at our growth scan that we are having a girl and the only thing I've bought is 4 newborn vests and a pair of booties for the grand total of £1.20 from my favourite 2nd hand shop, they only sell children's clothes and some of the items in there look barely worn.
My friend had a baby girl 6 months ago and she is giving me all her baby clothes, her hubby brought a load down last night and some of them still had the tags attached, so I'm glad I never went overboard with clothes buying, I've got enough clothes to last me a few months
Hubby is working away again today, but he will be bringing back between £100-£150, not bad for a days work.
I will only be spending £8.60 this weekend, thats all I've got left in my purse.

Aww, a baby girl, how absolutely wonderful, many congratulations to you all :grinheart (maybe it's the early hour, but that's made me come over all emotional
)
Don't beat yourself up too much over the spending, you are only human after all. Try and think of the positives in it - you spent money that was 'bonus money', you didn't put it on a CC or OD and for that you should be pleased with yourselfYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I wasn't gonna ask, but I was there all by myself and my curiosity got the better of me, lol.
When they said they were about 90% sure it's a girl, I felt all emotional too, we already have a son and although I really wanted another boy this time, I'm just so happy to have a daughter, I can't stop smiling everytime I think about it.

hi just found your diary and you are inspirational, i'll definately keep popping back to check on you as we have similar debt values, i have a feeling you're going to get there before me though but we're all travelling the same road together.
Well done for getting christmas done with cash, it's the only thing i've always done i've saved for christmas since i was a teenager, the only year i spent the money it was a horrible christmas so i learnt my lesson.
Good luck with the baby, i'm sure you'll be fine, just make sure you don't do too much over christmas!0 -

The housework has been stalled, I'm just so tired and have no motivation.
I will have to get a shift on though as I've only got about 2 1/2 weeks til baby arrives, should get everything done by then. I'm gonna do a spreadsheet of all the rooms and everything that needs done in each, that way I can see at a glance what I've done, I find if I have it in front of me, I'll be more inclined to do it.
All I need to buy this weekend is my son's pack lunch pieces.

I've still got a lot to learn LT, there are days when I overspend or buy things I know we don't really need or sometimes can't afford, but thats all part and parcel of the dfw journey, we have to learn as we go along, but I'm pleased to say I'm getting better or should I say I feel more guilty.
Feel free to pop back as many times as you like, as you say our debt is very similar and it's always nice to see someone else with that amount gradually reducing it.
I will definitely be putting my savings account to good use in 2008, I've commited myself to saving a little every week for annual things like birthdays, back to school uniforms and xmas, that way it's not a huge chunk in one go.
I'm not planning on doing much over xmas apart from spending time with my hubby and kids, hubby cooks the dinner so I wont have to slave over a hot stove, i can just relax and get everything brought to me, :rotfl:
