I'm good thanks
Pretty quiet here at the moment, not much to report (until next week when we miss the first mortgage payment <gulp>) We're viewing a couple of possible rental properties on Wednesday, looking forward to that
My slightly obsessive organisational skills have left us with pretty much nothing to do re the BR for the next month or so, just find somewhere to live!
Oooops, sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack your threadYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

xx
That's shocking  Chance would be a fine thing eh, £10.00 a month? You could easily spend that each WEEK on just nappies. Grrrrr, the CSA - don't get me started on them........ :mad:You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

 Me too
I never resent having to pay child support to hubby's ex, he is the dad and he has a responsibility to support them, what gets my goat is how they work out how much we have to pay, they use a very black and white system, you earn so much therefore you pay so much, each case should be reviewed individually.

HI dsljfreeman,
I've just read your posts for the first time, I'm a bit slow on the uptake at the mo!!.
From your SOA, how long have you got to go on the loan? Also is your Council Tax over 10 months or have you already asked to pay over 12 as this would slightly reduce your monthly cost.
The gas is really high, is there any way to reduce this? e.g. turn down heating , put up extra curtains at the windows to keep in heat?
You've recognised that the phone bill is high, do you have particular times that you need to talk to your DH or is it to have adult contact (I can totally understand that!)
Do you have time to complete online surveys, some sites give good rewards e.g. cash or vouchers.
Finally for now, please treat yourself occasionally even if it's just using a freebie shampoo from the freebies board you still need to have something to look forward to.

Now, I had the opposite sort of problem with the CSA years ago. My ex was being a git about paying maintenence, so I got the CSA involved. Despite me knowing for a 100% fact that he was earning well and had pretty low outgoings etc..... he managed somehow to get away with paying £7.00 a week. He told them he had massive travelling costs to work and they took this into account - it was outrageous, he was totally lying but I couldn't prove it
It's disgraceful now that they just look at what's coming in and don't seem to take into account what's going out, what a stupid system :mad:You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Just been reading your diary and wanted to say good luck.
I think the idea after you have paid your cards off is a good idea as like someone else said life is too short and you need to have some life.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

HI dsljfreeman,
I've just read your posts for the first time, I'm a bit slow on the uptake at the mo!!.
From your SOA, how long have you got to go on the loan? The loan is over many many year I'm afraid
Also is your Council Tax over 10 months or have you already asked to pay over 12 as this would slightly reduce your monthly cost. im currently paying over 10 months, I've only got 3 more payments left then in the new ct year I will be paying over 12, which will cut the amount down to £72
The gas is really high, is there any way to reduce this? e.g. turn down heating , put up extra curtains at the windows to keep in heat? I know this is high, we are working on reducing it, like not having it on during the day, wearing jumpers instead, turning heating down etc
You've recognised that the phone bill is high, do you have particular times that you need to talk to your DH or is it to have adult contact (I can totally understand that!) It's just purely to have someone to talk toplus he gets lonely driving all day (bare in mind when I ring him he will pull into the nearest layby or tell me to ring him back in 5)
Do you have time to complete online surveys, some sites give good rewards e.g. cash or vouchers. I've signed up to loads of survey sites, I've also applied for AQA, just waiting for the test email
Finally for now, please treat yourself occasionally even if it's just using a freebie shampoo from the freebies board you still need to have something to look forward to. Thats sweet, thank you, I love freebies and will sign up to receive anything

It is a stupid system, not only are the responsible absent fathers being done over but the mothers with care are too, we don't even know whether hubby's ex is getting every penny we pay to the csa:j Bankrupt 6th October 2009 :j:beer: To a Debt-free Future :beer:0
