  • They are the mortgage broker
Mortgage brokers often talk rubbish (not all of course some, like on here are quite nice) But your average one in an estate agency branch are just salesman, they don't know what is happening in the economy really

The individual could have a personal bias for all sorts of reasons, but I don’t see why a mortgage broker has access to any facts that any of us don’t have e.g. demographics, immigration, population.
The rest is just taking a person view and perhaps who you associate with.

Processing mortgage applications requires some knowledge but it’s not a massively skilled job.

Property is overvalued and there is no doubt it will be undervalued again sometime in the future this is the normal cycle

The perma prop bulls won’t agree of course

It is a virus. It will have as much effect on the economy as the common cold, I.e none.

How? It killing elderly people so it’s no different to flu or pneumonia.
  • Well if the virus event is large enough to impact china’s growth which could take about a year if the vaccine won’t be created by then and spreads through out the country during the year period then goods and services from the country will have a massive factor on the global economy.

To be honest millions would need to be affected to affect global markets tho with some significance, I pray that this does not happen and it’s contained and a cure is created in a timely manner thus de-risking the potential for output on the country.

This doesn’t include the potential for the virus spreading elsewhere in the western world and is not controlled. The World Health Organisation will be well on it if it was to spread largely in other areas of the world and the western world as enough resources and capital to combine such a threat.

If you truly believe that this virus will effect your local or global economy then I would advise buying a hazmat suit for family and friends. Otherwise it’s probably wise to keep oneself up dated on the status and spread of this virus and for when the cure is completed, which will be about 6-8 months time with mass manufacturering of the vaccine/cure in 12 months.

Otherwise containment is paramount at the moment and the potential for a housing crash is more likely looking towards 2021-2022 for various other analysis I have done elsewhere related to the subject.

A recession is highly likely within the next 30 months and I suspect stock markets will show that.

I am assuming deutsche. bank will be a domino in this global crisis to watch out for if they stop having liquidity.

Anyways hopefully nothing bad happens but prepare for the worst

What's the main factors in your analysis of a global recession? Where do you see it coming from?
