Fitting mattress up the stairs

Unless it's made of wood, it'll bend round the top.
Slide it up the stairs on it's edge with ne psuhing, one pulling, then when you get to the top start lowering the upper edge. If there's a room opposite the top of the stairs, slide it into there and then open the door as wide as possible and slide it out of there to the room it's supposed to go in.You'll have a greater angle so it doesn't have to bend so much.
Either that or stand it upright when you get to the top of the stairs and there's less mattress to need to bend, the ceiling should be tall enough that you can stand it upright.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
150 lbs is a lot for two people, let alone one. Maybe you need a winch? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Yeah it’s heavy and thankfully I have a fit family0

Just measured my stairs and the gap ceiling to tread is 5ft.
depending on thickness of a mattress could probably get 6' wide up there with a bit of bending on the diagonal(2'6" wide stairwell).
what size is it L,W,D
You slide up on the long side, width upright bending as much as you can across the width
use ratchet straps to do the bending if it is very stiff, for 2m length 2 or 3 should do it.
get/make strap/slings to make carrying easy.
Once at the top if tight you stand it vertical till you get to the door then swing the bottom in first.
there are a few youtubes to get some ideas.0 -

A king sized mattress is only five feet wide. It would be a pretty silly staircase that only people five feet tall or shorter could use.
it the diagonal from lowest part of the ceiling to the stair treads that will be around 5ft0 -
Are you sure it is not bendable on the length
which Ikea mattress is it.0 -
The mattress is 150x200
The mattress has plenty of space, it’s just that area in the picture @getmoreforless has copied and pasted.
I’m going to come off as awfully stupid, so bare with me. When I follow the instructions on measuring the steps, I stand on the step that I think is directly below the L shape in the ceiling/floor (basically area that’s going to cause issue.
I measure the step up, plus the next one. Enough room until I go another step up, issues start from there onwards.0 -

For future reference, zip-link mattresses are available & easier to manoeuvre.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

If you are taller than 5ft and do not have to duck every time you go down the stairs, it'll fit no problems.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
