I've actually had to BUY a !!!!!! printer for this! Now I don't have use of my work printer due to having to be home.
Can I claim for having to purchase a printer too?0 -
Coupon-mad said:Yes but not a 'costs schedule' as we have moved on from that heading to something stronger recently.
You want a SUMMARY COSTS ASSESSMENT signed & dated with all your hours spent on this broken down, claiming £19 pr hour and all your printing costs (and potential costs for attending a hearing) due to the unreasonable conduct of the Claimant in issuing a PCN illegally on Council land.
Glad you've read this thread Coupon - I saw a thread the other day where you had mentioned something about those Black and Red scraps that VCS were using - I'm sure you had said that they were no longer permitted? I can't for the life of me re-find the post - Could you please repeat the info for me - thanks.0 -
You could always ask the DVLA about soft ticketing that may enable you to use a written confirmation from a government agency in your evidence/WS.
Put the statement that VCS were specifically told it was prohibited anyway even if you can't find anything from the DVLA themselves in time.

Hi all, Just need a little more help as I'm getting confused.
My docs have to be sent to Court this week - 2 weeks before case.
1 - Do I need to to JUST send a copy of my witness statement to VCS or do I have to include a copy of all of their WS & defence back to them, (sounds silly but sorry need guidance here)
2- Am I correct in thinking that I need to send to the Court
Copy of my defence.
Witness Statement + photo's etc
Summary of Costs Schedule
OR do I need to include a copy of VCS witness statement AND defense?
Thank you all.0 -
You need to send a copy of your Witness Statement, your evidence and your Costs Schedule to both the court and the claimant. That's all.2

1. Just your WS, your evidence and your Costs Assessment. Send by post with free proof of posting certificate. Belt and braces it with an email copy too.2. The court already has your defence (doesn't it?). WS, evidence bundle and Costs Assessment. Normal (non-crisis) advice is to hand-deliver to the court at which your hearing will be held, but you may not be able to do so now. I'd email a copy and a postal copy as above - belt and braces approach again. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

But the Court said I can email WS over to them, but will try & hand deliver too (wearing FFP3 mask) as it's only 3 minutes away, it looks as though Civil cases will go ahead remotely, but have had no notification as yet.2 -
Summary of Costs Schedule
No, it's a Summary Costs Assessment. Google one to look at the form a solciitor would use that it called that, and this is why we now call ours the same thing. A sheet with the same title, and a sort of similar breakdown of costs (yes, including your printer, eve though it probably won't be allowed as you will get use of the printer for years).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
