Don't go to court you will lose, wont get a transfer and will be broke.
They have been very reasonable. I think you need to appreciate their offer. Your demands have changed and that devalues your case as you come across as inconsistent.
Threatening court with no grounds added to the unreasonableness. They left because you have given them no choice. You ended the conversation by closing the door to their offers and threatening them with a solicitor who won't have a case except to make money from you0 -
Do the higher flats have more bedrooms?
Here, many flats on the ground floor are bedsits or one bedroom for single occupancy, while upstairs are 2 bed.
Is that why they wont offer one in the same block? Or are they all the same?0 -

yes i'll mail them in the morningStill_Dave wrote: »None of them will help you here.
It’ll go one of two ways now, they’ll decide that it’s not worth arguing and find you what you want (unlikely I think, they probably have a good, if undisclosed reason for not offering it before now) or they’ll not like being bullied, and will only ever offer you the minimum that they have to, favouring the less pleasant options.
I hope not, as you do have a good reason for your requests, and you are in I’ll health, but you’ve pulled a bluff here that they will know is worthless.
Maybe go back, apologise for your awful attitude, explain the stress that you are under and ask what the issue is with the higher floors in your building.0 -
And apologies if I misread your first post as PTSD being because of the fumes.0

I don't think a landlord HAS to agree to a transfer: You have an existing tenancy, unless there is anything in that that says you have a right to move then you are dependent on the goodwill & flexibility - which need not be supplied - of your landlord.
Or does someone have the law/regulation that says I'm wrong, please??0 -
thats not a problem, i should have made things a little clearerRosieandjim wrote: »And apologies if I misread your first post as PTSD being because of the fumes.
