Are you prepared to claim cashback or not?

sorry should have given more details.

I'm currently on o2 PAYG. Looking for my first contract phone. I'm prepared to claim cashback. If possible i would like to be able to change to a cheaper tariff later without it affecting my cashback.

    Cheers

Hi Adam, this website seems to give the best possible deals on contracts with k750i at the moment and is updated daily I think. Have a look, hopefully you will see something useful, there is currently a contract with O2 that with cashback works out at £200 over one year

Thanks for the link. I read (somewhere on this site I think...) that dialaphone refund the cashback to your airtime account.

    What does this mean exactly?

    Thanks again

The Dialaphone deal can be made better by getting a referral from someone and splitting the money and by using https://www.dialaphone.co.uk/theworks where you should get an extra £40. Refunding to airtime means the money is paid onto your contract rather than to you, this is only really an issue if some is paid at month 12 which it isn't on this deal! Total price around £150

The OSPS deal could be made better by downgrading at month 6 (knocking off £90). Total price around £98 if downgrade.

Depends which contract you prefer really.

Another point is that in my experience Dialaphone are much quicker with the cashback (but their customer service is very poor)

The K750i can be got for an overall cost of less than £100 for a year.

If you order it on O2 250 from https://www.phones4u.co.uk (sorry I can't make a direct link that works) the line rental will be £35 per month but you can change the tariff to O2 25 after 6 months which is only £16 per month.

You claim the full 1st 6 months line rental back after 6 months (£210) leaving you only to fund the last 6 months at 6 x £16.

I hope I have understood and explained it correctly!

Can you claim back the full amount after 6 months? or is it a split cheque back like what a lot of the other online retailers are doing? (i.e. 30% in 3 months, 30% at 6, etc?)

Is O2 200 a 12 or 18 month contract? With these kind of deals, can you still retain your number?

    Thanks

With the Phones4u deal you claim the full cashback in one go after 6 months according to their terms and conditions.
