    what about jingle all the way :D can't beat a bit of arnie :p

    I got a great boxset the other day from asda for about 9.97 and it had Jingle All they way, Miracle on 34th street and Muppets christmas.

    My husband bought me Santa Claus the movie with dudley moore from HMV the other day. On the website it is 3.99 but instore its only £3.

    I love watching the Indiana Jones films around Christmas it reminds me of when i was a child.
    Theres a few christmas movies on sky this week i have set sky+ to record them so we can watch them later.

    I also love Miracle On 34th Street i brought this last year but its also on sky movies this week.

  • Another vote for Santa Claus: The Movie! For kids and adults alike!

    I loved it so much when I was a kid that my mum made the mistake of taping it, therefore she had to endure it in July!! Haha. Now, even at 23, I check the TV listings to see if its on (and moan when its not). :rotfl:

  • 'Trapped In Paradise', is a lovely film with Nicholas Cage. Its a great laugh and has all the right messages. Suitable for everyone I'd say.

  • Adults- Die Hard (not my personal preference but my dh makes me watch it every christmas and swears it's a christmas film..i dont see it)
    Childrens- Mary Poppins it may be sickly sweet but i love it's warm tinglyness.
    Older kids and adults- The Fellowship of the rings It's the only time we've got time to watch it.
    ( i also love Santa Claus the movie it must be my age (23) but my husband and 3 children were not impressed by 2o mins in it was only me in front of the telly when i tried to get us all to watch it oh well i loved it anyway.)

    Just to let you know HMV seem to have quite a few of the recommended films at reasonably prices....I am just off over there to make an order now ;)
  • I have to say I absolutely LOVE elf!! I've watched it every year since the year it came out (and that year I saw it at the cinema) and every year, I still sob at the end!! lol.

    Alice in Wonderland - the film version from 2000 (its good for all the family). Stars Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Kingsley, Miranda Richardson and Robbie Coltrane. Poundland have these in stock at the moment (but don't let that put you off!).
