Sorry for your loss1

Thank you.
It hasn't sunk in yet. It was the hen that I was running at the weekend. Decided to push it all down and just make sure everyone was having a good time. Everyone bought into the activities which really helped and everyone helped with sorting out and tidying up. Bride appeared to be happy and that is the most important thing!
Today it's been hitting me like a brick. But I have today and tomorrow off work so..
Not sure what I should be doing but might put on the kettle.1 -
Things have been ticking away. I'm feeling the dread (TM) of going back to work. Everything is urgent so I need to cut myself into three and get on with it!
Nagged my mum into coming out for the afternoon yesterday to get her out of the house to do something that wasn't death or doctor themed (no offence intended doctors of mse). We accidentally went to a fun fair?! It explains why parking was so difficult but it was fantastic to wander about watching people on the rides. But aren't they expensive! There was like a bouncy castle adventure thing for littles- £3 for five minutes. How do parents cope?
Also went to the car boot today. Got some large hangy shelfy thingies for 50p, a beginner crochet set 50p, ice cream £5 for two, dust masks 5 for £1 and a couple of dried flowers set in resin £1. A friend tried to teach me to crochet at the hen and I enjoyed it so thought I would give it a try.
Mum got herself a gonk made from wood, beautiful. I'm glad I build her into doing things.
Oh but I've lost my camping chair. Whoops?!2 -
Been a hectic week, been working late each day but the work got mostly done. I don't know how people do it on a regular basis. Like my friend (same industry) regularly works 10 + hours over time in a week, I would be exhausted.
The funeral is on Wednesday. My older uncle, always said he wanted the ladies in red dresses and the men in red ties. He will be having his red tie in his pocket.
Nagged both mum and sister to come out yesterday. First time in I don't know how long. Sister hasn't been well for quite some time so it was a lovely thing to get her out. I'm so pleased because she hasn't looked so well in a long time. I looked in these charity shops which I know often have craft supplies because I wanted to get an easy grip crochet hook completely forgetting that they are next to a haberdashery! At the hen a friend of mine taught me how to crochet a square so I'm practising. I bought a little kit at the last carboot for 50p but the hook is very slender! I'm very proud of myself. Mum has given me my nanny's wool to practise with, nanny died in 98 so.. vintage?
Currently painting the skirting boards in younger uncles house with undercoat listening to tunes I was obsessed with as a teenager. I was so angsty back then, but some of these are bangers!2 -
Work has been marginally better, had a little hissy fit on Thursday but not so bad.
Wedding is nearly here! Looking forward to it, even if it means having to shave my legs!
I really need to do money stuff, I'm very late with it. Have I been good with money this week or have I been bad? No idea.
Funeral went quite well, only one broken glass! I worried endlessly about what to wear beforehand, I went to charity shops the day before to find red scares just in case I couldn't find anything red. It came in useful because some people didn't know about the red so I just handed them out.
Surprisingly I couldn't find anything red in Primark or m&s. Apparently it's very out of fashion.
I got a coat last weekend at the car boot for £3, I found what it claims to be (I'm no good at spotting fakes)
https://www.gelert.com/gelert-horizon-waterproof-jacket-ladies-446094 but eek! That's a bit of a saving! It's very good quality as well so this is excellent.
My cat has been missing for the last couple of days. He's a nosy thing so I assume he ended up in someone's shed, he will be back soon but all the logic in the world does not help!

Been trying to crochet a circle. Spent a lot of yesterday trying and succeeded a bit and then today I can't do it again! This learning a new thing is hard but overall relaxing.1
