Over the weekend our neighbours opposite have put up a 6 foot fence in their front garden which is opposite our house so it's all we can see, would anyone be able to advise us if there is anything we can do as it's a horrible eyesore.
Around 2 years ago they asked us would we object them putting up a fence in their front garden as on their deeds it has said they are not allowed to put a fence of up of any sort, we said we wouldn't mind as we presumed they just meant a small picket fence.
Thanks

Depending on where it's situated, you could check with planning - planning permission may be needed for a fence over 1m if the new fence or wall borders or adjoins a public highway used for vehicles.
Of course enforcing it and maintaining a decent relationship with your neighbours is a different ballgame. Lesson learned is don't presume what people mean when they're asking you something.
ETA - posted before I saw your picture, so probably doesn't apply. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Well, you shouldn't put up a fence that high fronting a public highway without planning permission. The footpath probably counts as a public highway.
So you could phone the planning department but I can guarantee that the neighbours will know who complained!
I'm a bit 'live and let live' but if that is their front garden I agree that it's quite odd.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

It will probably blend in better as it weathers and you get 'used' to it.
Maybe you could ask them to paint it so its less conspicuous now?0 -
Ask them if you can grow climbers up it then you'll be looking out on greenery and flowers.0

To be fair their garden doesnt look that wide so you alrealy had the brick wall in your sight anyway. Its just one of those annoying things that you'll get used to eventually. Not worth starting a fight over.Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700

I "think" the general rule for front fences without panning permission is just 1 metre
You are going to have to look at your own councils website0 -
You seem to have two choices:
Ask them to comply with the deeds and if they don’t, inform the council.
Live with it.
As others have said, it will weather a lot and be less “orange” and from the photos the view before was a brick wall and car. You’ll have to decide whether your tolerance to it is sufficiently limited as to make a neighbourly dispute worthwhile.0
