I did not ask for you to be banned merely that the post with the word in it be removed ... which incidentally is so bad there is now a law related to the use of the word- Rosa’s Law0

You have neglected to mention that that particular law is in the USA, where there are countless examples of words having different meanings or connotations from those in the UK.
Indeed, I am partial to faggots and peas. Especially with lots of gravy. Say that in the US and I would get some funny looks. Let's not get started on fanny packs...0 -

As you are such a fan of US law, can you tell me what your take is on the minimum age of marriage in most US states? Except for a couple of states, it's always seemed a bit of a perverts' charter to me. Not in any way suggesting that you are "unusual", but why bring up one US statute protecting vulnerable individuals and ignore a much bigger problem?
The point is that no posters were wrong here to raise the question of insurance. The point is that you were imbecilic/cretinous/idiotic/stupid to even suggest that it was not a valid point to flag up and should be put in a separate thread.

Well I did not know that. Is it offensive for you to quote it and put it in bold too?0 -
I was taught by a driving school but my boyfriend at the time let me used his car for practice while he supervised me. He rarely gave me advice but he actually made me give a running commentary on my thoughts as I was driving along the lines of
"there,s a stationery bus ahead so watchfor a signal that it,a going to pull out, or a child suddenly trying to cross the road after he's s got off the bus....." or if I was driving was on a dual carriageway. " I need to get Ito the outer lane in good time aof I,m taking a right exit at the next roundabout but need to check my mirrors first to see it's clear to pull out ...."
All these commentaries out loud must have been very tedious for him but they reinforced the techniques I,d learnt with the driving school and just saying everything out loud did help to quickly reinforce things in my brain. I passed my test first time.0 -
