The Starling Bank app shows pending transactions - you get a notification the day before a direct debit is due to be taken and they're shown on your list of transactions the day before.

Nationwide also do pending transactions in there app

Only with limited information. The transactions show as "debit card payment" but it doesn't show you where you actually used the card, -you have to wait for the payment to clear to show that.

Nationwide's credit card doesn't show any pending transactions.

RBS does. This isn't surprising, since they own NatWest. I assume that they both use the same app with different branding on it. Logic suggests that Ulster bank will, too, for the same reason.

    Thanks everyone.

Does anyone know if Yorkshire/Clydesdale/B (particularly B) do?

Tried to find the info myself but can't see anything. Also Santander?

Debit card and G Pay transactions appear on my Yorkshire Bank app with a small analogue clock indicating pending.

I'm going to assume that FirstDirect is going to be exactly the same as HSBC

Don't assume that, I worked for first direct in their IT department and they have a lot of bespoke systems.

Their online service DOES show pending transaction, both their internet banking and their app.

However, due to the nature of banking you cannot rely on this 100% of the time as for example debit card transactions can hit your account late in the day and may not show in the morning for example.

You should find your "available balance" reflects these however, so having that facility is more important to me than showing what is pending.

This thread has misinformation originating from the confusion between pending transactions and upcoming payments. The app from LBG shows upcoming payments which is the list of standing orders and expected direct debits with amounts estimated from previous payments. The app does not show pending transactions. Pending transactions are card purchases that have not yet been deducted. Only online banking shows these. Why I don't know.

I have Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland accounts and all show pending debit card transactions both online and in app (iOS) also all show predictions for upcoming direct debits and standing orders based on previous amount. (Lloyds app below)
