What an absolutely ridiculous post - this must be a wind up.
If I buy a house in a bad area, should I go after the builder?
Have my phone nicked, go after Apple?
Mercedes Sprinters are common for this, should I go after them if mine is nicked?
Come off it, you've been burgled. No different to someone seeing you have poor windows and breaking into your house.
Nothing at all to do with Toyota, but I bet the service department had a good chuckle when you tried it on with them0 -

You disagree but fail to give any rationale - that's just silly.0 -

Toyota fit locks and alarms - all very sensible measures in the consumers' interest. You appear to suggest that their knowlingly selling cars susceptible to crime is 'nothing to do with Toyota' - if you really believe that you are very silly indeed.0 -
I think there is only one silly poster here.......the one that thinks that they should somehow be compensated for an event that hasn't even happened to them.0

Yet they fit a catloc to their cars... Which is the same as a lock on the door. Do they tell you to lock the car?
Note this is not just Toyota that are effected. It is all Manufactures. Yet Toyota have gone the extra mile to make it harder to steal.
You can not blame them for the fact that part of a car is worth a lot to some scrote, rather than just nicking the whole car.
There is a limit on what they can do, as most security is down to the owner of the car and where and how they leave it....Life in the slow lane0 -

Toyota have not gone an inch. It is because they do NOT fit a Catloc, do not contact owners affected and then refuse to help the victims that Toyotas fails its customers.
I have to say that many years ago it was possible to have a sensible discussion of important matters on the Forum. Now it is a waste of time with almost all the comments contributing nothing worthwhile.0 -

Many of the comments are worthwhile, just not what you wanted other people to write.0 -
