Been billed £3 per week for game I've not used
Just realised I've been charged £3 per week for the last 2 months for something called "chillax games". Know nothing about it, dont play games on my phone at all.
Been onto vodaphone and they say I have to chase the makers of the game for a refund and have given me their contact details. I'm wary of contacting them and giving them more of my personal details. The company I need to contact is red27mobile. Anyone know if they are a legit firm? Googled them but cant find anything conclusive either way.
Best to just take the loss on the chin and learn a lesson to have these premium text things blocked?

I've had some dealings with Red27 Mobile and have found them responsive to complaints. It's worth emailing them asking for either a FULL refund or EVIDENCE that you consented to the charges. Ask for:
- [FONT="]Screenshots of the subscription workflow where you were alleged to have signed up for this service.[/FONT]
- [FONT="]A description of what the service you are supposed to have subscribed to provides? Is this a newsletter, access to a web portal?[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Any evidence that after supposedly signing up for the service, you actually used it[/FONT]
- [FONT="]The complete web server log of the subscription, including the User Agent strings containing all device details (browser, device type, device IP address) together with dates and times.[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Full company details of the company operating the service, country of registration, full name of company, company number and registered company address.[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Details of the Accredited Payment Intermediary (API) which handled the payment.[/FONT]
- [FONT="]Details of the company’s disputes procedure, including any ADR scheme you can refer the matter to if they fail to provide a full refund.[/FONT]
In the unlikely event that they provide the requested evidence, let me know and I'll try to help further. If possible, keep the browser history on your phone to crosscheck against anything they supply.
However, in most cases this approach will result in a refund.

There is more to the Small Claims procedure than the court action, and there is no minimum claim value.
The first step is sending a "letter before action", warning of your intention to enforce your claim through the county court, if necessary. Most of these low-lifes pay up at that point. If they don't, it costs £25 to start an action, which can be added to your claim. If they have failed to prove consent, you will win. The law is clear that the burden of proof rests with the vendor of these services to prove that you entered into a contract with them. If they can't do this you are entitled to a refund.
90% of these cases are settled at the pre-action stage. 90% of the rest are settled before the case gets to court.
Failing to take action against these scammers merely encourages them to continue defrauding consumers!0 -

Why not ask about it if it happens. They will probably refubd a small amount
Its not good form to ask on others peoples posts. Please start one ofvyour own. It can get very confusing if its a long thread. Then no one knows who is talking to who
