As it happens I was in my local Morrisons today and they had half a dozen Oykos yogurts on display which were dated best before 19/09/19. I managed quite well to just inform a nearby worker without demanding mass beheadings or compo.0

Is that the same Morrison’s that booked profits last year of just shy of £500,000,000 you know the one that pays its staff minimum wage? See I would have thought that they could have afforded to check the dates on there dairy products having made so much profit and it paying so little to it’s staff. But maybe profits are more important than giving food poisoning to an elderly customer or young child which might..... well you get the picture.0 -

You're right. The minimum wage staff should have their pay docked for such an oversight. They will soon learn to check dates then.0 -

Evidence? As far as I'm aware they pay more than the NMW and staff get a 3% of salary annual bonus on top.0 -
Either it's been planted as part of a scam attempt or there was a printing mistake at the production plant. Milk that old will look revolting and is unlikely to be missed by staff. Having said that, don't people check the dates on this stuff?0

Average supermarket retails 47,000 items and most are staffed to the absolute minimum.....
BTW when you fly out on holiday do you ask to see the pilots license to check everything is in order? No the airline does that in the same way supermarkets should be checking that the food they sell is safe and fit for human consumption.0 -

I hang my head in shame.... those Morrison staff are rolling in it as the get 29 pence above the minimum wage per hour! Let the good times roll!
Oddly depending on how you look at it Morrison’s shop staff are it appears the lowest paid out of all the multiples.0 -

Items can be eaten after a "Best Before" date, it's a "Use By" date that you are thinking of. But obviosuly your just overreacting because very few people will eat food that has gone off.
Also working in a supermarket is a pretty easy job and requires a low skill level so i would say just over minimum wage is fair pay for that kind of job.0 -

There's no 'depending on how you look at it' with regards to Morrison's paying the minimum wage rate you claimed...you were wrong to say that as they pay more and there's an annual bonus on top.0
