I'd like to join again please. We're doing £50 each Friday. There are 4 between sept and Oct payday so £200 for this month

2 adults and 2 children under 2, including nappies and just a little formula for one child, toiletries and cleaning but alcohol and any takeaways (few times a year) comes out of personal spends

Well, much to my shock, I when I added up what was left in the Grocery Challenge purse from September, it turned out to be £5.10! Therefore, Elsiepac please amend my budget for October to £125.10.

    Many thanks.

    Went completely rogue last month...£276!!!

Going to try and stick to the usual £190 this month.

    Tonight:

    - Freezer inventory
    - Meal plan
    - Shopping list

Tonight will be beans on toast/soup after seeing the Downton film. I'll pop to Lidl tomorrow evening.

First spends for October. £11.02 at Mr Ts and £16.00 at the land of Ice, total of £27.02. Used a £5 off £20 spend in Icel*and so was actually £21:money:. I don't usually use vouchers as they usually run out before I get round to using them so this is an improvement for me! It ran out today!

Please may I join in again? My budget for October, which is a 5 week month for us, is £500. This is no where near what I want our spending to be at but is a significant decrease to what we spent weekly in September!

After a mess up with my salary/car tax I am £600 down so please may I change my target to a tighter-than-a-tight thing £220 to run 1st to 31st of October.

This is less than half of what we spent last month but I am up for the challenge and am eating out of the freezer where I can but we don't have a lot of meat in there and DH likes meat with most evening meals.

This includes all human food, laundry, toiletries and cleaning and dog food. Thank goodness we are doing Stoptober this month so no booze to pay for.

Not planning on shopping until Friday at the latest. I have a work meal allowance to use this week which will cover a few non perishables.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

XSpender there are a lot of vegetarian meals you can make that really don't need meat to be satisfying. DH is very much a meat man but he'll happily eat veggie curry, veggie chilli or a mixed bean goulash (I use the Jack Monroe recipe for that).

    Good luck.
