Have you clicked on an advert on Facebook/other social media offering a free PPI check? That’s almost certainly how they’ve got your details.
have you had any PPI redress offers (regardless of whether or not you’ve actually received any money)?helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -

Allay recovered my PPI I paid their charges and they stopped me Tax on it, I recieved a sms for them to reclaim my tax back ... NO CHARGES .. otherwise I would have done it my self ... Ithen get an sms from a company I have never heard of saying they have a tax refund for me and they want my details.. oh and the refund was nearly half the amount in question . I rang the Tax Office and was told they gave them my signature so they sent them the full amount. Is this common practice ..I hope not ! .. I have never given my signature to this company at first I thought it was one of those Scammers .. It appears they Allay gave them my signature without my permission, and they are trying to charge me nearly half of the refund. I said to the Tax man what if I do not acknowledge them and he said they will jusk keep the refund ..Is that allowed ? Has any one else had this happen to them ? makes my blood boil .. the money does not matter it's the underhanded way this company acted ..Today I have recieved a sms saying "This is the last reminder "Is this lawfull if not who do I contact ? the cheek of it !0

If you could claim a refund then why didn't you?
Do you think these companies are doing this as a charitable cause? They're running a business. You are their customer. You're choice.0 -
Is this common practice ..I hope not !For people doing the 3 minutes of work to this themselves, no. For people using a claims company, then answer is yes.I said to the Tax man what if I do not acknowledge them and he said they will jusk keep the refund ..Is that allowed ?yes because you wouldn't have told them where to pay it.Is this lawfull if not who do I contact ?Your solicitor would be a good start. Especially if your contract with them says they are doing it for no charge. That would be strange as claims companies are not known for doing things out of love.
