:rotfl: Can I print invites that say 'bring a tin' instead of 'bring a bottle'? [STRIKE]Magnolia[/STRIKE] white with a hint of peach will suffice for now. Trade emulsion accepted. :rotfl:

PS: Party date to be announced as soon as we actually have a property with walls.

Will you find out if anything is happening tomorrow?

All I know for tomorrow is that the holiday weekend is over and it's time to start digging deeper for more answers to unanswered questions, like, 'what will x, y and z really cost?' This fixy up has no plumbing, no power, no rooms, err... well, it really has not much going for it if I look at it that way. :D

Hi Pav, that's brilliant news about your price range netting properties you didn't expect! :j We're taking things slowly here and haven't heard a peep about civil engineering works yet, so I'm going to call them tomorrow. The way I see it, every day delayed is another day's interest in the bank. With prices crashing around us on all sides, missing out on this one won't be such a huge trauma. Like you say, there are more properties coming within range and we could hopefully be heading for a buyers' market. Either way, I now have a solicitor at the ready, a draft offer drawn up, a builder and err... the bathroom suite. :rotfl:

I actually broached with my OH the subject of getting a real fixer-upper the other night. Just starting by joking about living in a caravan on the front lawn, but the idea wasn't rejected out of hand!

I have grown up doing up houses, so it doesn't scare me, but OH isn't really a DIYer.

Congrats on having a bath to put in your future bathroom! :rotfl:
