So I've calmed down from my utterly shambolic experience now.
Does anyone with legal experience know, the Judge said I had 30 days to pay the fine .
Will I hear from the court in a letter?
Will I have to the Pay the court or BW Legal the set amount? Which the judge did cap at £200 which brings it down from the previous amount.
Anyone know what will happen from this point?0 -
You pay whichever organisation is named on the original claim form (‘Address for sending documents and payments’), but definitely not to the court.
The claimant should tell the court that you’ve paid, but often they don’t bother - then you risk CCJ hassle - so if you’re paying by cheque, take a photo, if online, take a screenshot of the completed payment pro forma, and you inform the court that payment has been made.
You will (should) get a confirmation of the judgment (a one-line type, not a transcript of the hearing), but I wouldn’t wait for that as the trigger to make payment, because if it comes after the 30-day deadline and you still haven’t paid, then it’s 6 years of credit-trashed hassle.
I’d get it all out of the way soonest. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

DId you reference the precise CPR which states good service must be to a known GOOD address? They cant claim an address that was very out of date is good.
But we predicted an issue. Its why we dont advise anyone ignores.0 -
The Judge claimed they were not to know otherwise.
I was dumbfounded to be told the Certificate which I paid £5 for from TrustOnline which showed the CCJ being assigned to the old and incorrect address bared no relevance to setting it aside...
The Judge said this was simply where they had registered it to NOT where the papers were sent to.
Nothing I could say or do. I stopped calling him Sir when it became apparent he was clearly batting for the other team and all my points were not valid.0 -

Did you not get a copy of the claim form from the CCBC? That would have definitively told you the address the claim was sent to.0

This has gotten worse today. I have received an email from BW Legal stating that the £200 I owe within 30 days is only the costs. I am still liable for the fine also.
Currently this is going to cost me a total in the region of £750 and still having a CCJ on my credit file!.
is what BW Legal say likely? I cant trust anything they say. I thought I would only owe £200 more and the CCJ would be satisfied.
How do I go about finding out if BW Legal are talking correctly...0 -

I didn't get this. But what if I do this now, after the ludge decided NO and the claim form says the old wrong address? is there some sort of appeal process?0 -
Yes you can appeal a court decision, using a N244 form.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
