The estate would have received the dividends annually, but the executor probably sat on them for the 4 years the estate has been in probate.

Thank you, that's exactly what happened.

    Has probate been granted?

Why are you receiving the dividends if you don't own the shares?

Hi, yes probate has been granted.

If probate had not been granted, you would not be receiving dividends. The diviendends would go into the Estate.

If Probate has been granted, then the Executers should be winding up the Estate and passing the shares and dividends to you. Why are the Executers hanging on to the shares?

The executor to the estate say they know the shares value but will not tell us?

Has the estate been wound up?

Thanks for your reply. Probate has been granted, the executor has said the price offered for the shares is considerably less than expected?

She won't for some reason let us know the value of the shares.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It states in the will that the shares should be sold and any monies distributed accordingly. Executor says shares are undervalued.

    Is the executor a professional?

Are you the residual legatee? if so their charges may be coming from your inheritance. Do you understand the charges?

Any reason to expect this to be a large inheritance?
