The way in which you categorise the problem determines the way you solve it.
If someone steals my car, I don't ask for their customer services number.
And yes you are joking. If someone stole your banana or BIC pen or any other replaceble cheap object of yours, would you go to the police?0 -

It depends on whether it had sentimental value. It may have been my grandmother's banana.
It's not all about the money, you know.0 -

It's not all about the money.
Is a banana or a BIC pen likely to have any sentimental value to the average person? You seem to have the most absurd examples. Comparing a stolen car to £20?0 -

It can in cases get a result ?
Do you want the £20 or not ?
If you do then why not give Twitter a try, once its all sorted just close the account.0 -
I think you're being quite unkind about the heirlooms we have in my family.
One of my BIC pens dates back to to 1987.0 -

I have read a few reviews of VM not responding to twitter or online complaints.
I think I will just forget the £20. In which case as far i am concerned, until they actually send me a cheque for £20, they have stolen it from me. Despite 3 attempts (3 hours of my time!) they still have failed to send any refund. If 3 calls does not get it through to them that they have my money, nothing else will. And it is not just me, just look at the reviews, many customers seem to have not got refunds despite promises.
Hopefully others thinking about using Virgin Media will think twice.0 -

Im with Virgin for tv etc and had no issues yet.
So your going to let them get away with it, wheres your fighting spirit. Id be hounding them for the £20, its the principle of it.
You do realise what you read about them not responding on twitter was in the past.
A letter takes no time at all to type up, print and post it.0 -
Which Ombudsman do i need to go to? I think i might just go straight to them, after-all i did try to go through their complaints procedure but it does not seem to work.0
