DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt
never attribute anything to malice which can be adequately explained by stupidity, [paranoia or ignorance] - ZTD&[cat]
the thing about unwritten laws is that everyone has to agree to them before they can work - *louise*
March GC £113.53 / £3250 -
I know I should come, I really want to honestly
Trouble is, money is awful in the Spud house at the moment with Christmas etc, plus I've got my lad's school holiday to pay for very soon too.
I need to win the flippin lottery I think :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Thinks we need to sort out what everyone wants on this night out.
Broad Street in central brum very typical, popular drunkards paradise full of young totty.
Chinese quarter/arcadian, similar but the Reflex (80's) bar is better maybe the chance of a chat earlier on.
Mailbox upmarket resturants more money.
I no there are some b&b's in north birmingham on good bus routes for sat/sun. Other than that there are some premier lodges, formula 1's or campeniles 5-10mins from centre. Which might be worth looking out but you would still need taxis unless you go for very central hotels e.g broad street, queensway etcs. for walking distance.
Other than that you have got several periperal areas where you have good local pubs with a local curry/chinese which cud be recommended by us in the local area. With many a travel lodge/premier lodge at hand.0 -

I am SO sad I am more excited about this than I am about Christmas
The only time I have ever not talked to someone after meeting them in real life has been:
1) if they turned out to be the opposite sex (his name was Eric)
2) if they turned out to be 50ish not 20ish (Ian and Eric)
3) they were perverts who wanted me to run off to Amsterdam on the national express with them (that Eric was one messed up guy)
So, unless one of you IS eric, you'll be fine. Eric, if you turn up in Birmingham, I've gained a lot of self-confidence, a big scary partner and some semi-legal weaponery since Cambridge '98. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
 :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:  :rotfl:
Oh my god that's so funny!!!
I would love to come if you'll all have me, but hubby and I have just agreed that 2008 will be The Year Of Staying In
(Oh god I hope I don't get pregnant! )
so I may have to do come complex negotiations with my hubby about exemptions to the rulesand some headache inducing number crunching before I can say yay for sure.
It's a very real possibility that we could be debt free by the end of 2008 if we cut back a bit harder/ earn some more money and - robotic frisbee hoovers notwithstanding  - one of the fewer areas we can still make more cuts is our social budget.
To be honest, I feel on such a different wavelength to all my single, successful with no kids mates these days that it won't be a massive hardship not to go out.
I'm such an unreasonable cow aren't I?I moaned that they kept inviting me to things that I couldn't afford and now I'm feeling a bit hurt cos they don't ask me to many things any more.
How contrary is that???
Anyway, so can I go down as a maybe for the time being until I sort myself out?
Love Jacks xxx
Who will be quieter than you thought she would be when you meet her, but that's because she's really interested in getting to know all of you lot. (and I already know all of *my* stories!)

Oooh, Jacks, I hope you do come! And it's January, so that leaves another ELEVEN months to tighten belts and stay in! I know what you mean about feeling out of place amongst the dinkys but I wouldn't give up my kids for ANY number of parties."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
