    That's fine silkglade :T

I am SO sad I am more excited about this than I am about Christmas :o

The only time I have ever not talked to someone after meeting them in real life has been:

    1) if they turned out to be the opposite sex (his name was Eric)

    2) if they turned out to be 50ish not 20ish (Ian and Eric)

    3) they were perverts who wanted me to run off to Amsterdam on the national express with them (that Eric was one messed up guy)

So, unless one of you IS eric, you'll be fine. Eric, if you turn up in Birmingham, I've gained a lot of self-confidence, a big scary partner and some semi-legal weaponery since Cambridge '98. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

OH just came up behind me and added that if he ever meets eric he'll knock his head off. Post edited accordingly.

Real apologies if any of you is named eric in real life. Feel free to create a pseudonym for the day.

It makes you think, though. Back then, it was fine for a slightly naive 16 year-old to go off to meet 'friends' from the internet. If my kid (that mythical kid I don't intend to have) ever tried it I'd kill 'em.
  • I will come if I am not teaching that day (I do ad ed classes as a second job). You don't usually get to find out if course running until a couple weeks before as needs minimum numbers. I will know more the beginning of Jan but put me down as a possible. xx
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time
  • Just caught up. Thankyou for the lovely offer Toto, you're a luvverly lady:)

I'm not sure yet whether I'll be coming.
