VAG cars come to the UK from Emden, into Tyne, Grimsby and Sheerness.
Have a look at this for some information on the usual timings of that...

It's also worth remembering not all Audis are built in Germany - A1s are built in Spain, A3s may be German or Hungarian, the old Q3 was Spain but that moved to Hungary with the new model. The Seat plant in Martorell to Emden is damn near a 24hr train journey, even without taking the logistics into account.0 -
Echoing the advice to talk to more than one dealer. We bought a new car a couple of years ago. Specced it up after test-driving and spoke to two dealerships about price. Ended up buying from the second one who didn't have to do any selling - they got us at the "Here's a list of exactly what spec and extras we want - how much?" stage.
Also, get a quote from an online dealer (e.g. Carwow, Car Supermarket). Local dealers probably won't be able to match as they have high overheads, but we managed to get a local one down to within a few hundred quid of the online dealers, and we were happy to pay a bit extra to have a local place to go back to if there were any problems with the car.
In short - you need some prices from other sources to use when negotiating. Go in knowing your figures inside out (especially if trading in where they might increase the trade-in offer rather than reduce the car price, or adding optional extras which they might start throwing in for free) and what overall price you're aiming for. Treat it like having a go on Dragon's Den.We sat with the dealer we bought from for over an hour beating the price down further. They might have just agreed to get rid of us in the end. :rotfl:
Ours was Skoda and there wasn't one available or in production to our exact spec. We could have had something close in spec quicker, but as it was the first time we'd bought brand new we were happy to wait a few months for it to come in to exactly the spec we wanted.
As others have said, don't be swayed by high pressure sales tactics.0 -
Thank you!! I’ll be sure to negotiate and haggle them down. I’ve done my research on what others have offered and thrown in. I’ll be sure to ‘play them at their own game’0

What price are they offering you the car for? For the basic with no extras you should be paying £14,3000

Yeah it’s 500 deposit and PCP0 -
If you can borrow £13,800 on a 4yr personal loan at 3% it would only cost you £850....
What's the cash price relative to the PCP price on CarWow?0
