Bought £350 worth of stuff from Ebuyer with PayPal Credit which was delivered on 20th August. From start to finish I found Ebuyer nothing but a nightmare.

For starters I had to cancel the first order and replace the order because of delivery issues. Ebuyer refunded the order - but however, fortunately I noticed they had set up 2 interest bearing agreements instead of one with PayPal Credit! I had to contact PayPal Credit to get this sorted.

One of the items on the order - a pc case was damaged. So I out in an RMA request (you have to type it up and then call Ebuyer which is such a faff compared to Amazon). The RMA was eventually accepted after being asked to take photos etc - even of the empty carboard box! Picked up 2 weeks ago tomorrow. Still awaiting the refund!

The motherboard I ordered was also faulty - I RMA’d it and the Ebuyer representative asked me to send photos of the cpu socket - I told the Ebuyer representative I had reservations about doing this because of a high chance of damaging the pins (which was the outcome Ebuyer of course wanted!) but I had no choice if I wanted to send the board back. Of course, right as rain, doing so caused some pins to get damaged which of course gave Ebuyer the green light to refuse the RMA.

I did everything I could to get Ebuyer to see reason but the Ebuyer representatives appear blinkered and don’t appear to care about the customer (just following a company process which they cannot deviate from) even though they pretend to e.g. saying "Sorry for any inconvenience" after telling you they will not take something back!

Oh and to top it off, as I was getting nowhere with Ebuyer so I put in a PayPal dispute against themt - now they’ve made my account inactive whenever I call (10 -15 minutes to get though) tell me to go through PayPal! What a lovely company!

I have pointed out my contract under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is with them and not PayPal. They RMA accepted the PC Case back and yet I am still out of pocket! I've even escalated it to Director level and they don't give a fig - can't even be bothered! The email was addressed certain Directors and I just got a response from some backroom clerk who initially wouldn't even give their surname!

Oh and I put a negative review on Trustpilot and they took it off claiming it had contravened TP's T's & C's. Don't trust review sites people!

Please think long and hard before buying from this company. The test of any company is how they handle things when things go wrong and I would never buy from them again after this. .

Wish I'd seen this before I ordered. Ebuyer used to be alright as I didn't have any issues before! The test of any company in my book is how they deal with things when they go wrong and in my case Ebuyer have failed.

Yep, used to use them many years ago, but would pay more elsewhere rather than buy from them nowadays.

If you cannot trust yourself to remove and replace the CPU without damaging the pins then you should have got someone else to install the motherboard.
The pins get damaged when installing the CPU, you installed it, the system would not boot so you then tried to return it under warranty.
Ebuyer see this regularly and so ask to see if the pins have been damaged before accepting fault.

So you or your mate works for them I take it? Or are you a self-appointed expert? The above sentence suggests you or someone you know works for the company!

For your information the board worked for a week up until the point when it it had to be transferred to a new PC case. The CPU, heatsink and fan were in situ the whole time until I tried to RMA the board. The lights still come on so there is power going to the board. I have also RMA'd the RAM which I bought elsewhere. The graphics card and power supply work fine in another PC so it is either the board or the RAM but thanks to Ebuyer the pins are now bent too! The CPU still seats fine in it though!

Don't make assumptions based on what you don't know!

Which is what you have done .

However it should not be a problem to remove a cpu without bending the pins .

Board taken out and prior to that was working .
Usual reason for that is user damage .

Yes, I am an expert, not self appointed either.
It worked, you did something, it no longer worked, this is generally regarded as you damaging the board.
Ebuyer ask for a picture to show you have not damaged it, the picture shows you have damaged it.
You want it replaced under warranty.
Why have you RMAed the DIMMS, are they also damaged after you got your hands on them.
I hope you have a static strap.
