PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

Would that be this Fulham?
You must be considering those investments in the very short term. Can you give us an overview of what they are?0 -

UK and overseas equities. Gold and other precious metals. PS Savills is hardly an objective source of data. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Ah, of course. When the data doesn't show what you want it to show, rubbish the source.PS Savills is hardly an objective source of data.0 -

The BoE rescues the housing market during recessions by lowering interest rates. It has now lost that ability to lower rates, since rates are already rock bottom and can hardly be lowered further. Personally, I would like to see the BoE reload its guns by raising rates, but I doubt that will happen. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. The objective source is the Land Registry. Only a dyed-in-the-wool property price pumper, like you, would swear on an estate agent's figures as gospel. Friend of mine turned down an offer of £2.2 million on her house, and ended up accepting £1.8 million eventually. Flats are a different market. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Your graphs re gold and platinum are of no relevance to me. My currency is GBP not USD. Plus it would help if you included the major major bull run in 2019, not cut off the chart before that. You are great at misrepresenting information, which does not surprise me at all for a property price pumper. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Heaven forbid people stay on topic to what an OP in a forum thread is asking. There is an entire 'Debate House Prices and the Economy' subforum if you want to keep talking about a potential house price crash ad nauseum and how much housing is a rubbish investment.0

Oh and go look at my Galliford Try shares that I bought for £5.20 with £100k. I think even you may be a little startled by my returns. I do love it when I make £50k liquid assets in less than 6 months. But that's life outside property. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
