Honey is 2.5 syns per tablespoon Pollyanna.

I use it for stir fry sauce: honey, soy sauce and lime juice. It's lush, well worth the syns.

There are lots of SW friendly butter chicken recipes around if you wanted to try that for you and the girls. :)

Thanking you. There is some in the freezer with the label that it is enough for them two and seeing as there is my curry in there too, might as well clear two spaces for me to cook more stuff to put in there!

Pollyanna if you use the PON jerk chicken recipe it works out at 1 syn per portion as I've used that quite recently. The Caribbean jerk chicken stew is good too and that's Syn Free so even better.

Maman good news that the bloating isn't anything gynae but also worrying about what the actual problem is. Hope your GP has some more ideas! Try not to worry about the tests they are a necessary evil as I well know. I've just got the date for the first of my scans but still waiting for a date for the other one and also a date for my op. Hope I don't have to wait too long as I don't want to lose my holiday!

I did get the result I wanted at group this morning - a gain of 0.5lb! Looks like the rum and ginger beer last night did the job, LOL!

    Denise

It is the PON one and I love it. Eat it with the coleslaw even when not on SW.

  • Having had a horrendously oversynned weekend, I was staggered to lose 1/2lb, just goes to show what can happen in a few days. Was a very happy bunny! Think I may reduce my syns to 10 a day to see what happens this week:undecided:undecided

Ended up with fish and chips last night as we didn't get home until 7 o'clock which is much later than our normal dinner time! Had already had a high syn lolly during the day so definitely well over yesterday.

    Today's plan:

    B - baked almond oats with grapes, melon & quark - HEB; P; F + 1 syn for 2g almond flakes
L - HM leek & potato soup (to use up the last leek!) - S; F
D - Stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon; roast potatoes, roast carrot, pepper & onion; cabbage - F; S; P; + 2 for low fat soft cheese

    HEA - milk
    HEB - oats
Syns - almonds 1; soft cheese 2; rum or 2 with diet ginger beer 5

  • Thanks Joedenise, I am not sure why I want to go the half a stone lighter my BMI (if thats important) is 23.9. I think it is because each time I put on a pound or two I am not on target, whereas if I went half a stone lighter then I would have a few pound to play about with?? No idea really :) I havn't been this light since I was 16.
So another good day today, have stuck religiously to the plan and as of this morning have lost all the holiday gain :)
Tonight I am having curry, curry, curry :):):) off to iceland in a bit to get the Mayflower curry sauce and I can not wait. I am having it with wholegrain rice (which I think is free) and to completely spoil myself some potatoes boiled and then grilled.
Have had one HEA and one HEB so far today, milky coffee for me tonight :)
Glad your tests were ok Maman, just wondering if it is speed related? I get bloated when I eat too much speed soup and bananas.........
Weight loss 6lb/16lb 10lb to go
I spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough

Whilst I have stuck to SW this week and hope for a lb, boy do I feel like cheating this weekend. I just feel like hunkering down and eating and drinking everything while watching parp on the telly.

    Today's plan (so far):-

    B - Coffee (hea1), watermelon (s), grapes (f), banana (f)

    L - Crustless quiche (hea2, S, P, F),
    Muller Light (0.5)
    Hula Hoop Pufts (3.5)

    D - (supposedly) jerk chicken (1.0)
    Coleslaw (S, F)

I think I will have my dinner as planned (instead of the Papa Johns pizza - an offer just got texted to my phone, garhhhhh!)

But I have got prosecco in the fridge, yum!!!

Have only had 20 syns so far this week, so quite left for the weekend which does seem to be my problem!

Hope you enjoyed the fish and chips denise. I haven't had any for months and months.

Thanks for your kind words DIMW. I feel better knowing what it's not IYSWIM but that hasn't taken the symptoms away. I've made an appointment to see my GP (2 weeks to see my chosen doctor:(). I just hope more tests isn't his answer.

And, yes, wholegrain rice is free.:)

Stay strong! You can do this.:)

You've done really well. Enjoy your syns today and tomorrow and then try to have a good day on Sunday before WI. :)

I had some wine syns last night but not too many as I kept falling asleep so had an early night. I'm confident I was within syns for the week. 105 back in the bank from today.

I'm copying you this evening denise although I'm using cottage cheese and garlic to stuff the chicken. It's a bit messier than cream cheese but it's OK.

Need to do some batch cooking tomorrow as I've run out of Bolognese in the freezer.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F) HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg, bacon (P)
    L: ham (P), bubble & squeak (F, S), pickles (S)
D: stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon (P), SW chips (F), tenderstem broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
    Syns: weekend wine:D

DIMW Your BMI is fine, you're certainly within the "normal" range. The real question to be asking yourself is how you look and feel yourself. If you've only recently got to target you can ask your consultant to reduce it by just 3lb as it doesn't have to be 7lb when you've only just reached target, at least that was what was allowed when I changed my target but don't know if things have changed or whether it was because I was under Dr's orders to put on some weight as she thought I'd gone too low! She was right as it's much easier to stay in range now that it was at my previous target weight!

Pollyanna as Maman said stay strong as far as food is concerned and enjoy your Prosecco tonight and tomorrow and straight back on plan on Sunday. If you've only had 20 Syns this week then you still have 85 to play with over the weekend - which is plenty for the bottle of Prosecco!

Syns online is down at the moment but IIRC prosecco is 12.5% or less so 2 bottles is 60 syns pollyanna . That leaves plenty if you go easy on the nibbles (ideally eat something SW friendly) or stay on plan with food and you could have 25 left! Good luck. We're rooting for you.:)
