Pennylane~~Could you weigh in on Thursday or Friday before your holiday?

Not sure. Can I, do you think? I am on a countdown and have booked 2 sessions off. I will see if there are any other groups I could get to.

    Yes, you could.
If you go it overides the holiday I think.
If not, just pay for the week you had booked the holiday for.
You dont have to go to your 'home' class.

Well I feel a lot better now! Just nipped to shop and bought a big bar of Fruit & Nut chocolate and ate the lot. It is months since I had any chocolate and I enjoyed every mouthful. Spin on that SW!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry you had a disappointing WI penny .

I'd suggest that you just go off on your holiday, enjoy yourself and then come back and start again.

You'll probably gain a few pounds but that change in routine can work to kick start things. :)

Today hasn't worked out too badly. I was too busy for lunch and we've come home and had Bolognese from the freezer. As expected, DH suggested a takeaway but was happy enough to have a HM ready meal. :)

Out for lunch tomorrow, that's the next hurdle. :)

    Morning all

Still reining it in - only one small brandy before bed last night so ended the day on 7.5 Syns so am catching up with the overuse of syns on Thursday:D.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages 2; bacon; egg P; tomato; mushrooms S; baked beans F
L - ham salad sandwich - HEB; Spread 2; Ham P; tomato, cucumber, lettuce S
D - pork steak P; roast potatoes F; roast pepper, carrot & onion S; green beans; cabbage S. Followed by grapes F, strawberries S; mini meringue 1; strawberry quark P + 0.5 for half tub (had the other half yesterday). Won't be buying again I prefer the plain one!

    HEA - milk in teas
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausages 2; spread 2; strawberry quark 0.5; mini meringue 1

  • Morning everyone, had a 2lb gain this week - fully deserved :wall: I thought being back in full time permanent work would take away all the stress of job hunting and allow me to focus on food and meal prep, but I underestimated how tiring an actual proper job is. Back on it today. If I can leave 2019 two stone lighter than I entered it I'll be happy.

Brunch - 2 sausages (can't remember brand but they're def 1 syn each), scrambled egg, mushrooms, cherry toms from the greenhouse
Tea - Austrian Hash - Potatoes, bacon, leeks, mushrooms
HEA - Milk in coffees and scrambled egg
    HEB - None
Syns - Sugar in coffee (4), sausages (2), butter in scrambled egg (2) = 8

On the agenda today is food shop, sorting out the spare room of doom, and then going to see the Downton film tonight :D

How do SW determine what is a Health Extra B choice. i ask because Hifi Bars are but I am not keen on them or Alpen. I do like Skinny Whips though and wonder if I can use those instead? Is it based on calories?

I think it's based on the amount of Fibre as HEB is for extra Fibre like HEA is for calcium.

To answer your questions you can only have things that are listed on Syns Online as HEB so no they wouldn't count.

I can't understand why they changed from 1 HEA and 2 HEB to 2 HEA and 1 HEB on SP days and they've also changed from 1 of each on EE days.

I don't think anyone really understands the thinking behind the changes they keep making.

When I first started it was Red and Green days and EE was just being introduced which is why I still do the occasional Red or Green day!

    Denise

PS. Just looked up the Skinny Whips and they are 4.5 Syns each. I've no idea what they are but they seem to be chocolatey. Are they like the old walnut whips (which I used to love!)?
