Good afternoon everyone,
1lb loss for me. I'd like to lose another before going away on Tuesday.
Take care everyone Arkers x0 -
Well done debtfreeforlife and Arkers!
Sue, good to hear from you. So sorry to hear things are so tough for you and yours.pollyanna24 wrote: »Is there a syn free pizza topping I can buy? I keep seeing recipes for it and I really won't have time tomorrow as at work. I was thinking of just putting puree on it, but if it was that simple, why do I keep seeing recipes for a pizza topping?!
I use Aldi's passata in the tall glass bottle. It's flavoured with basil (and something else?? haven't got any in at the moment) Just spread it on with the back of a spoon. You can use it up in soups, bolognese etc.
Today's Menu
B Bran crunch (HEB) banana (F) 0% fat yoghurt (P) and a drizzle of sweet freedom caramel syrup (1/2)
L Scotch egg (P,F) salad (S) melon and tangerine (S)
D Gammon with egg (P) chips(F) mushrooms, tomatoes, green beans (S)0 -
Pollyanna The crustless quiche doesn't have to use an HEA - you could use cottage cheese and/or quark instead of the cheddar. I usually make mine with cottage cheese as I tend to use quark as a cream substitute - I like it as it is with fruit but you can sweeten it if you'd prefer.
For pizza topping you can just use drained chopped tomatoes if you haven't got any passata. I actually prefer the chopped tomatoes as it gives it a bit more texture.
Absolutely amazed at WI this morning I maintained! absolutely no idea how but I'll take that with a big grin. Just hope the alcohol doesn't catch up next week. Definitely won't be as bad this week as I have various medical appointments this week and will need to drive most mornings and won't drink more than a G&T or two or a couple of glasses of wine the previous night.
Today's plan:
B - melon after WI
L - sloppy joe's from PON book - very tasty but the peppers needed far more cooking than stated! It said 10 minutes, I did them for 20 and think they could still have done with another 10 minutes. Will definitely have again but cook for 25-30 minutes. We also had 2 portions each (the recipe says serves 4 but definitely only enough for 2 of us - maybe we're just greedy!).
D - vegetable biryani
HEA1 - milk in tea/cheese on top peppers
HEB - none planned
Syns - none planned at the moment
Didn't do the S,P,F as was getting a bit long. So listed below:
B - S
L - S, P, part HEA
D - S, F

My crustless quiche is currently sitting in the freezer. Two portions I think. So it already has cheddar in it (50% reduced fat). It also has quark in it. Can't remember where I got the recipe from (Pon website?) Have I just gone cheese overload?!!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

How much cheese did you put in originally to make 4 portions? I'm sure you didn't put in 160g of reduced fat cheese, or did you?
Each portion will only have 1/4 of the amount you put in so shouldn't be too bad synwise. Even if it is a full 40g per portion you could have as your HEA and then the milk you use in tea/coffee which is probably less than a full HEA - it certainly is for me.

Well done on your loss arkers.:T
I went to WI this morning and got a 2.5lb loss! :j Pleased with that although another half pound would have got me back in range but can't have everything.
I can see that you'd get fed up with the same breakfast and lunch for several days Pollyanna but if you cut out the fruit for breakfast and the salad for lunch tomorrow that could mean your only Speed would be in whatever topping you had with the pizza you've promised yourself. That would the biggest veggie pizza ever to get a third of a day's food as Speed on it!:D
By all means have eggs but have some fruit with it. Have a JP with beans but have some salad with it. We can eat loads on SW but it has to be the right things and if you're following Extra Easy that includes a third of Speed.
I don't want to confuse you but if you had no meat all day (so no sausages with the beans or on the pizza topping) it could count as one of the old Green days which were largely veggie and weren't ironically so fussy about Speed. I wouldn't recommend it every day but it would solve tomorrow's problem.
Going forward, when you do your meal plan for next week, plan your breakfasts and lunches too so that you get some variety in.
EE plan for today:
B: NAS grapefruit (squash F), HEB Weetabix, HEA1 milk, half banana (F)
L: JP (F) with cottage cheese and ham (P) spring onions and pickled cabbage (S)Austrian ham Hash (potatoes F, ham P, onion, celery, carrot, leeks, mushrooms S) with cauli and broccoli with HEA2 parmesan
Syns: None0 -
Brilliant, well done Maman. Another week like that and you'll be well inside target range! Good luck for this week. How much socialising this coming week?

Thanks Denise .I think some of the good work last week caught up.
This coming week could be difficult. It's DH's birthday and DGD1 but not sure what's happening. It's possible it could be a fairly traditional Sunday lunch albeit in a restaurant but not confirmed yet. We'll see.0 -
