Tradesman has changed payment terms between quote and invoice

Have you talked to the company, they've probably overlooked matching the payment conditions on the invoice to match the quote. I've done it myself when we've changed from our standard T&C's to something different to help out a customer.
A simple bit of communication solves most issues :-)0 -
Our invoice protocol is payment on completion by return. If a customer wants a credit period we typically factor this within the cost of the quote. In simple turns, if you ask for delayed payment, you are going to pay for it :-)0
