  • The OP should be aware what the boundary plan means. The OP should check or look on line where the highway boundary runs to. Highways can and do exist over the top of ownership plans. Just because a plan will denote ownership doesn't mean the OP is free to alter it without permission. In other words the highway plan becomes key and you cannot work in, alter or cross highway without permission.
  • This restrictive covenants is bloody s*it, I've found my original deeds and both online ones yet all it said is 'copy filed'
I suppose now I need to spend more money for something else.
Why make it so difficult for people to understand or find something.
Now it's the weekend and can't do squat!
    Getting a little frustrated now.
Anyone know how I could find these restrictive covenants bits?
    Many thanks.

Those with the best understanding of the legal issues and Land Registry are typically on the 'House Buying Renting Board,' which is legally orientated.

This board is about practical matters, like how to construct a permeable drive, rather than whether you are legally allowed to.

However you only started to ask about this yesterday lunchtime!

I find that planning and sleeping on the plans is usually worthwhile. You speak about the grass 'falling' to the road, so people on this board could still best discuss the practical problems that might create.
  • There is a row of 3 houses in two blocks, everyone bar one has a 4ft high bank edging to the road, there were retaining walls but all have broken and missing, the exact same house as mine has built a 7ft high wall 6 inches from the road with no planning, well they did say the steps must start at least 4ft in from there boundary (the road) would this give me hope?
  • Also any help with this?
