New Build Phone Sockets issue

You shouldn't use filters with a filtered faceplate.Hi,
we have a openreach master socket 5C, I have connected the our phone and broadband via a filter
We also have a few extension phone sockets installed which look like they take a RJ11 connection, if i connect my phone line or broadband to these (without filter) I don't get a dial tone. Do I need a filter, would that be the issue? I can't try the filter from the master socket as it's a different connector.
Any advice?
Thanks

Do the rj11 extension sockets work with the router? Newer 5C face plates have an internal connection to run broadband extensions. This might be why they are rj11.0 -
It's not uncommon for the developer to use a do box like

Somewhere
The connection to the other sockets is not done , you need to do itEx forum ambassador

NTE5C's normally come as default without a SSFP (pre filtered faceplate) and without an internal connection to run broadband extensions.

Many years ago in my (then) new build, it took me a while to figure out that although the extensions were wired up, they'd managed to swap the wires to the wrong terminals - worth a check if not done already!0
