Just noticed today that Eversmart have deleted both their twitter and facebook accounts.

I would say this is strong evidence that they're going to go bust and enter Supplier of Last Resort.

  • They've also had a winding up petition put in against them by the National Grid on the 27th August.

    Would be interesting to know if their phone lines are open today.

    National Grid files winding up petition against Eversmart Energy

    The Manchester-based supplier was previously revealed to have failed to pay its renewables obligation (RO) to Ofgem on time. Eversmart confirmed in April that it had paid off what it owed in installments to the regulator.
  • Well I started my switch a couple of days ago, they had not sent me my notification of the tariff ending. They also said they would block my switch if I did not pay £52 my account was in debt even though I could not access my account since January.

    I paid it but my DD of £80 will come out on the 18th September and my switch will not start until 24th September. I don't want to be in credit so would they still block the switch at the late stages if I cancelled my DD just before 18th?

    This company has been a nightmare and the icing on the cake was all the cheesy social media advertising with Katie Price etc when they could not even run their company properly!

    Bearing in mind the winding up order I'm pleased I left them 4 months as I was £200 in credit. However they treated me well as a customer so no complaints.

    I'm just in the process of leaving them to go to Symbio.

    I've just logged on to my Eversmart account and all the billing information is still there.

    I do owe them about £175, so I wonder if they are going to try to block the switch. We shall see.
  • Does anybody know how long it all takes after this date of the hearing?

    Just gutted I did not start my switch a week earlier but as I said I did not receive notification and cannot access the online portal.

    My new supplier have said they will request readings on 19th and will be transferred on the 24th.
